I'm more looking forward to next week. First series against the Tigers then we get Baltimore, who is on fire and murdering the ball. They hit about 28 homers tonight.

Dude there is A LOT of baseball left to play and players can get hurt.

But I do like that we're headed towards a 128-win season.

Hopefully that gets us in the playoffs. I think we'd have a pretty good shot.

Davis' velocity drop is a tad concerning.

Which is why Chris Young needs to be nowhere near that team. Just leave him at home for that series.

I know. But this is a fun start! Doesn't look like anyone can get us in a series at this point.

Noticed that too. once you get in that 96+ range it's another ball game in most cases. wish he'd get back up to that range. Not saying Davis has a weak arm that's clearly not the case. I'm just saying in general..I HATE having weak arms on the mound. If you can't throw hard, then you better be able to throw some consistent accurate nasty junk. Fortunately Davis can do both. But it's early..just hope he doesn't wear down. That's why Soria is so important.

What a great formula, Davis has been an absolute gem...without him this team doesn't win a WS. I can't remember the last time the Royals won any trade...but man they bent TB over and went to town in that Wil Myers trade. Whats he doing now?
I wouldn't go that far Yeah, they traded Myers for pieces but they also got Odirizzi and Montgomery. Odirizzi had a good season. Hmm, I looked it up now and I think he would have been our best starting pitcher w/ a 3.35 ERA.

Mike Montgomery did poorly for the Mariners.

Hosmer crushed that ball tonight. It looked like batting practice

Yeah, it was pretty even. Myers OPS 770 last year in half season and Odorizzi is a middle to top of the rotation guy. Both of them had a lot of years of being cost controlled. Good trade for both teams.

The Grienke trade was more of a bending over.
