Talib trashes Chiefs after Donks win yesterday

http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2016/...c-championship

Quote:
After topping New England 20-18 to advance to the Super Bowl, Aqib Talib and the Broncos were feeling very good. Celebrating a win against the defending Super Bowl champs might be enough for some, but Talib also managed to get a shot in at the rival Kansas City Chiefs in the process.

The Chiefs saw their 11-game winning streak and season end last week with a loss to the Patriots. The Kansas City defense struggled to contain Tom Brady and the New England passing attack. Talib made it very clear he didn't pull any tips from how the Chiefs played New England.

"We ain't look at nothing the Chiefs did — they got served," Talib said, via The Kansas City Star. "The Chiefs ain't help us do nothing. They sorry."

There is no love lost between the Chiefs and Broncos and that extends to the fan bases. Talib trashing the Chiefs — who will be watching the Super Bowl from home — had to be the cherry on top of the AFC Championship for Denver fans.
I'm not sure if he is just incredibly stupid, a product of a KU education, or the thin air has gone to his head.... Someone care to take a shot at diagramming his "sentences?"

Well, some languages do have councils that produce official dictionaries of definitions, usage, and structure.

English anit one of them.

Honestly, I'm curious whether Talib even knows that he's not speaking normal English, or if he thinks he is.

That's pretty much what Talib is doing. Whether it's internally consistent or not, it's not impressive and it gives the impression that he's unable or unwilling to learn proper language.
That's what has happened with English overall. Even the current version of English you are speaking.

In fact, language over time gets simplified.

His grammar is fine, as I demonstrated earlier. It's just that the rules are different between AAVE and "proper" English. Which, by the way, I'm sure Talib is plenty familiar with.

Y'all are some hardcore prescriptivists without even knowing it.

Thank god you're here to defend the illiterates using Wikipedia as a source.

Hey, if it's the vernacular you're most comfortable with, you should totally express yourself exactly like that at all times and anyone that thinks less of you for it is clearly ignorant.

And probably racist.

Academia, man...

Don't forget Dee Ford vs. Edelman.

And yeah, the more removed from that game we get, the more convinced I am that the gameplan was absolutely fireable.

It's still the most inexplicable approach I have ever seen. Just coming out of the chute with that underneath zone nonsense is enough to put him on the hot seat but spending the entire !@#$ing game without making a single meaningful adjustment to it definitely earns him a pink slip.

Dammit, now I'm pissed again.

I'll need a linguistics professor to sign off on this. If it's internally consistent, then we'll allow it.

And trust me, a linguistics professor shouldn't be hard to find. It's not like they have anything useful to do with their time anyway.
