A starter has four days to rest every time out. There's a reason Shields came in and they set a goal of 1000 IP from your starters. Historically that's a much better way to do it.

And like I said earlier... if you look at this year's stats, our starter/reliever splits are about in line with teams like the Rockies and Phillies who are terrible.

I think there is more than enough evidence that Holland just has to pitch more often to be dominant. Last season he was pitching as much as possible with a month left since we needed every game.
