Has anybody picked this up already and had a chance to play it yet.

How is it ? Is it any better than last years ? pros and cons. How good are the chiefs on it.

Honestly I've been really enjoying it. They put a lot of focus on passing of course but ground and pound is still a very valid option

And if you get lucky and get Christian Okoye in Draft Champions, you can turn it into Tecmo Super Bowl

They didn't dumb it down, they gave you even more control. The new defensive playmaker system lets you make lots of adjustments on the fly, and now you can click on defenders mid-pass and ballhawk, swat or try and strip after reception. Couldn't really do that last year.

This is a skill madden. I love it. The only problem I have is on all madden how bad they make young qbs. Me and New World Order had no idea where passes were going half the time.

Nothing you said seems accurate. Especially the worst madden. The general consensus is that this madden is a big step forward.

I can confirm ... this is the worst madden i have ever, ever, ever, ever, ever played

the players are SO STIFF

you have no user control over your guys -- at all

it's ****ing awful

I wish I didn't download this game as I would sell it in two seconds

i don't care about graphics, i care about game play

dumbed it down so much ... play madden 2008, or madden 13 even ... where you can actually control your guys ... now ? now it's all AI

I'm not kidding ... I never play until I spend about 2 hours in practice mode getting things down all over again ...

30 minutes of practice so far and the game is terrible

you literally have zero control over your players ... you can't control your running back ... the game is so stiff

it's horrid

everyone is going to be Denver, Seattle or Green Bay this year

fun !!!

I have never been on the madden pile on ... I have thought each Madden has been playable - fun over the years ... because at least you could still control your players

This is what I'm saying. They make the game less and less like a "simulator" and more like the old NFL Blitz every year. All you need is a good QB, a great WR and RB and you're golden.
**** Madden and **** EA right in the ass. I will not buy another until it's absolutely overhauled.

This game is all AI. All of it. I've played for years and on defense, I like to play with Eric Berry. I ball hawk with Berry. I don't switch off Eric Berry as I disrupt the entire game by being a ball hawk safety. This year? Impossible ... because your player is dead stiff, and the computer wants to move him at the snap for you, so if you try and read the play the game just stalemates you and you don't move ... it's awful.

And running the ball with a ball carrier? Nope. Stiff as ****. You literally can't anticipate the defender and cut inside manually anymore because the game rejects it and the runners are so stiff.

It's legitimately terrible. It's all AI, it's all n00b. It looks pretty.

They officially totally ruined the game. Totally. It's just flat awful.

Seriously ... you can be Seattle, Denver or GB. That's it. Or run the read option with fast QB's.

FUN!

Terrible.

I'm so upset about it. Bought the game for $60 at a bachelor party to play a friend for $$$ and I want a refund so bad. This is unplayable bullshit.

And I've never, ever, ever piled on Madden. I have always found it very playable .. until they killed the game play.

I'm fuming mad.
