Not Guthrie's best night, although if we'd at least score a couple runs it'd feel like a closer game.

Can't win if you don't score runs.

Well guess we are not going to touch this guy. What was that three outs on 7 pitches.

Chris Young was on borrowed time in terms of being effective for a while now. There's no way we can count on him in the rotation in even a month, let alone September/October.

Volquez has been VERY solid for us, there's no question about it. But one thing that people knock on Cueto is that he had a complete meltdown in the WC game a few years back. If this is how we are judging pitchers then I will bring up Volquez's 2014 WC performance where he gave up 5 runs in 5 IP.

Obviously we don't base a pitcher off of shit like that, but Volquez would look a lot better in the postseason complimented with other above-average arms (Cueto, Leake, Chavez) than what we have now in Young, Duffy, and 2015's version of Ventura. Volquez has been great for us and somewhat of a stabilizing factor in our rotation, but I don't exude confidence in our postseason run hopes with him being our sole, best pitcher.

Duffy, who knows. Last year he was nails, but couldn't stay healthy for September or October. So we have no idea if he can even make it to October, let alone pitch well once October comes.

Ventura.. lol at this point until proven otherwise.

Guthrie.. do I even need to type anything?

I don't think the Royals need a Cueto or Price type, but they do need some more in their rotation come October. All just my opinion, obviously.
Someone should Tonya Harding Vernier and tell him to shut his mouth.
