Let's assume we lose the game tonight due to our offense's inability to do anything at all. Hector Noesi starts tomorrow and, honestly, he's really nothing special. If the Royals can't score at least 5+ runs off him, then they could be blanked by anyone at any time. Now, even assuming we do score runs tomorrow night, the real issue is that Guthrie is our starter tomorrow night. That will probably result in a high-scoring game. How well do the Royals do in those types of games? Not well.

I'm not saying we DEFINITELY lose tomorrow, just that bad Guthrie could show up at any time.

Saturday's game is Duffy vs Danks. That has low-scoring game written all over it. The Royals are terribad against Danks, like Lester bad. It makes no sense. Just the way it is. Hopefully, Duffy can pitch another shut-out and we score a run.

Sunday is Ventura vs Bassett. Yes, the same Bassett that shut down the Tigers. Another low-scoring game.

Basically, what I'm saying is that while the Royals could potentially win every game this series, we could lose them as well. If the Mariners win 2 of their last 3 games and we lose all 4, then guess what? The streak continues.

I hope to hell it doesn't, but I just can't ignore it with this team.

Counterpoint: The Mariners are playing 3 games against the Angels.

Yes, combined with the required winning streak from Seattle, it would be ****ing stunning. You are waving your hands at what would be an epic collapse that the Monte Carlo simulations are literally saying would be a 1 in 1,000 event.

Is this a bit or something? I mean, if its just your schtick to live in doom and gloom in an attempt to reverse-double-jinx our opponent, fine, but if you are really feeling what you are typing, you may need help.

Very true. It's incredibly unlikely that all of the events in my post happen, and if even one of them doesn't, then we make the playoffs. I'm just trying to make a point that you can't just assume playoffs at this point, because it could really hurt if you get too high and it doesn't happen.

oh, by the way, if we lose all 4 and the Mariners win 2, the streak doesn't continue. We would first have to lose to them Monday. So you also have to add in losing to them to your hair-on-fire panic depression scenario.

Wow, someone's uneasy tonight.

I make a post portraying what I felt and you want to go on a tirade? Well, here's another thought.

Some good cuts tonight. I'd be surprised if we didn't score at least 3 on Quintana
