I know the Royals won last night, but all the signs were there for another offensive collapse during last night's showing. Horrid plate discipline and pitch recognition, pressing in key situations, and an injury to the best hitter on the team. Combine that with another injury to Vargas and an inconsistent James Shields and Jeremy Guthrie and this could get ugly fast.

To be honest, the All-Star break couldn't come at a better time.
