And that's just the beginning of the bloodbath. Up to 100 ESPNers are expected to be axed, including a lot of on-air folks. So consider this the ESPN Layoffs Megathread to track all the victims.

Ratings are down for networks across the board. I don't know of any study that has demonstrated that ESPN has a significantly larger decline in viewership than the average cable network.

If ESPN were dropping off because of their political agenda, FS1 would be seeing a significant increase in viewership. As is, they can't beat ESPN2. I was curious, so I looked up FS1's programming on Friday, compared against ESPN, who wasn't broadcasting any NBA or MLB games.

FS1's highest-rated program was Undisputed, with 118,000 viewers. That is 16,000 fewer viewers than a Gruden's QB Camp re-run with Deshone Kizer, which ran on ESPN2...at 2:30 in the morning.

Supposedly because they gave an award to Caitlyn Jenner (never mind that he/she is a Republican) and because they suspended and then fired Curt Schilling supposedly because of his conservative views.

That makes them the equivalent of North Korea State TV and MSNBC in the minds of some of the Alex Jones-fake conservatives looking for any slightest thing to be offended over.
