SF might take Lynch at 7. Then what does Cleveland do? I think Dak Prescott is going to be a steal at QB in this draft, so maybe they go that route if Denver doesn't draft him at the end of 1. I dunno, Cleveland may very well have shot themselves in the foot. |

Not sure if this has been mentioned-- but it's kinda insane, the plot of Draft Day has played out before our very eyes.
If you recall in the movie, the Browns trade up to allegedly select their QBOTF, while already having a veteran QB who had been dealing with past injury problems and unreached potential. Well, now the Eagles have done exactly that. I didn't think of it until I read that Sam Bradford was pissed off about it, made me think of that goofy ass scene in the movie where the vet QB trashed the GM's office. If only that really happened... ![]() |

They drafted a potential franchise QB two years ago. And 4 years ago. And 6 years ago. And 9 years ago. How has that worked out for them? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. It is time they tried something different.

Manziel at 22 Weeden at 22 Quinn at 22 McCoy at 85 in the 3rd From a statistical standpoint, usually not alot of success with QBs picked at that point in the draft. Personally, I don't expect a 3rd round pick to be a franchise QB, it rarely happens. I'm not considering McCoy. Manziel had major concerns over character coming out. The Browns were at #4 and traded down, also passing on Sammy Watkins (whom they definitely needed). They could have used their multiple picks, including their #22 pick, to trade up to 2 for Bortles. They could have drafted Bridgewater or Carr. It's bad evaluation. Weeden, in 2010, was a terrible reach on an old player with alot of question marks. Again, they made a bad evaluation and passed on Ryan Tannehill, who they could have gotten at 4, and instead traded up to 3 for a bust in Trent Richardson. Quinn is the only one where I thought they made a good decision. I thought Quinn was going to be a good pro and worth the shot. This year, they were positioned to get one of the top 2 passers in the draft, both of whom look like franchise level players of at least a Matt Ryan pedigree. They did what they normally do this year, which is pass on the top QB(s) or trade down away from the top QB(s) to get more picks. They will probably continue do what they have normally done, which is pick a lesser QB by moving up into the late 1st or in the early 2nd round. That is the irony of the situation. While you think they are doing something new, it very much looks like they are doing again exactly what they've done in the past. |

Yeah, if I was a Browns fan, I would be pretty pissed.

That's not a bad thing, but I dunno that I'd trade up that much for it. And also, I'm starting to go the other way on a qb sitting for a year or more. |

If I'm a Browns fan.....I'm happy. This team lacks actual ****ing talent and needs to be gutted. Drafting a QB at #2 isn't going to fix that franchise right now. Build up the talent level and depth and roll with RG3 or McCown right now. Believe me.....they'll be drafting high again next year. They'll have more opportunities to draft a franchise QB.

They year they drafted Brady Quinn at 22, Jamarcus Russell went #1. Should they have traded up to number 1 to take Jamarcus Russell instead of trading back up to #22? Would they be better off? 2007, 2010, 2013 had no good QBs. Sometimes, there just aren't good QBs. It's 2016. Not saying there's a rule that says none of the QBs will pan out every three years, but statistically speaking it's not improbable. That being said, I don't think they would have traded down if the Rams were taking Wentz. Wentz and Goff have the same agent. Both teams that traded up know exactly who they are getting. Michael Silver is BFFs with Hue Jackson and he has made it pretty clear throughout that Hue Jackson wanted Goff but did not say much about Wentz related to the Browns. |

The last top 10 QB the Browns drafted was Couch. They haven't at the top of the draft in 16 years. They've used plenty of draft picks on late first, 2nd and 3rd round QB's but haven't committed early in recent years. They blew a really good chance this year.
