Royals literally had the whole game to shove that up Syndergaard's ass by putting runs on him. Got some pressure, but could not get a knockout hit. Then, Ventura pulled a no show and Syndergaard got to act like he dominated. If you want "revenge", go out and score 7 or 8 tonight and take a 3-1 series lead. That'll shut him up real quick

The thing that bothers me about the perception of it all, is that if our pitcher does that (and we've heard it throughout the season), we're the dirty assholes who throw at people. Syndergaard, because he has a cool nickname, is held up as a stud because he does that and then crows about it afterward. In addition, he talks about it being his plate, so he has to throw high and in. So now that Granderson has hit 2 home runs, it's ok if Herrera comes in tonight and throws one at the bill of his cap, right?

At the end of the day, I'm with you. It was one pitch, move on. Esky did ---- his next time up he hit a line drive back up the middle. I guess the high and tight wasn't in his head like "Thor" hoped.

It's shitty baseball, IMO. I don't care who does it, whether it's the Mets or the Royals. Throwing at guys is bullshit. It's the pussy move.

I don't like throwing around hitters, either. Some see that as "strategy", I see it as weakness.

Nothing has ever pissed me off more than seeing Barry Bonds pitched around in the Worlds Series.

It's clear to me that the Mets think the best way to beat the Royals is to make them over emotional. And, yeah, Synergaard's pitch (which I don't even have a real problem with) didn't affect the Royals lineup at all (his adjustment to the slider in the 3rd-5th innings is what saved his ass), the pitch to Escobar might just have affected Yordano Ventura, who was obviously not mentally sharp last night.
