Was discussing with a friend last night.
Evidently there are tons of visual images of mutilated half-faces scattered throughout all the seasons. Gus Fring at end of Season 4. The teddy bear face in season 2. Jesse's face when he gets beat to a pulp. There's supposedly an essay that tracks it all and explores the motif, but I can't find it online. Anyway, this show is just so badass.

I thought that too, but I also think the flying too close to the sun comment was meant, in some way, to refer to Jessie as well. Icarus being the son, and Walt (although not being genuine) was trying to act as a sort of father figure to Jessie during the episode.

http://www.uproxx.com/tv/2012/07/tel...nk-teddy-bear/ Another half-face is in Gale's apartment (it's some weird bust he has). Then Gale gets shot in the eye.

Not sure what's "genius" about it. But it is interesting and makes me excited to go back and take a closer look at the show. |

...or that decision (regarding the woman with the methylamine) is where Walts plan begins to unravel.
