Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

It's a low order violation, as we can see from the lack of punishment issued to the Panthers, who were caught violating the rule, and from the baseline fine ($25k) for it. I don't know whether or not the Patriots violated the rule, because I don't have all the information yet. We've certainly seen too many conflicting reports to be certain of anything at this point. However, I've said that if they have violated the rule, they should be punished in accordance with the stated punishment.

So you can shove your claims of integrity right up your ass, along with a fist or two.

I agree but I guess what bothers me most is that none of us are professional football players, let alone potential Hall of Fame QB's and Coaches, yet people have already decided that yes, under-inflating a football is an advantage (and that scale ranges from person to person) and that the Patriots, whoever they are, are guilty.

If this was 1990, no one would even know and those that might, wouldn't care. But in today's instant social media world, this is the biggest most important finding since the Chicago Black Sox of 1919!

Even though is hasn't been verified that they actually "cheated" for a competitive advantage.

Goodell has proven already that he'll punish individual players however much he feels is necessary. The Patriots also have a history of bending the rules. They should be made an example of if they did in fact intentionally lower the air pressure. Losing their 1st round pick and a hefty fine is a good start.

"Integrity" already went out the window with Spygate.

Amnorix posts are getting more embarrassing by the day. Like a mother that can't admit their precious Junior did something wrong.

I'm sure the real reason he's so confident in demanding in apology is because that assistant has been richly compensated to stonewall the league's investigators.

For such a minor offense, there sure are a lot of armchair Johnny Cochran's running around litigating the minutiae to death.

Would that those caught up in the drug trade had such tenacious counsel.

I'd actually respect Patriots fans more if they owned and embraced the cheating. They can't seem to do it, though. The team they all bandwagoned onto during the Kraft era is pretty much all they have going for them in their lives, and although they deny it, it's clear they can't stand the thought that all their accomplishments are tainted forever by cheating - hence the constant denial, deflection and spin.
