Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

That's the one point that seems to be repeatedly flying over numerous people's heads. I don't know why I keep clicking on the crap being posted because it's the same bullshit over and over.

Apparently, it didn't make the Patriots offense any better either, as they scored 17 points in the first half with the under-inflated ball and 28 points in the second half with a properly inflated ball.

The Patriots are the best team in the AFC. End of story. A dopey ball wouldn't change that.
If I prepare a cheat sheet and tuck it into my sleeve before a test, but I never end up pulling it out because I end up remembering enough to pass the test, am I still a cheater?

I was being WAY generous by saying 7 seconds per Ball

This sounds impossible...
Who says they were all deflated to the same amount? If the Patriots did this in the AFCCG then I guarantee it wasn't the first time. It wouldn't be a stretch to suggest whoever did this has done it plenty of times before. Perhaps he knows that sticking a pin in the hole to let out some air for let's say a second or two would decrease the PSI by approximately 2. With previous practice doing this that would be pretty easy to manage over 90 seconds and 12 balls.

You need to get in touch with the league. Your guarantee is probably all they've been waiting for to put this whole thing to bed.

If the Colts balls were 13.5 at kickoff and 12.5 when checked, and the Patriots balls were 12.5 at kickoff and 11.5 when checked, I don't think there's a real problem.

Until someone can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the balls were intentionally and purposely deflated to gain an advantage, personally, I'll just chock it up to the internets because otherwise, this story really isn't a story.

I'm not saying it happened, but different prep conditions could easily account for that. I'd guess that's been brought up about a billion times on this thread. Hasn't it?

Exactly how different can the prep conditions be? It's not that complicated. It's not like one team inflates their balls with water and the other with sand. They both inflate them indoors in the same facility where there simply can't be a huge variance in conditions.

They can be significantly different.

Oh, we're back to the "prep conditions" angle now? I do have to admit it's hard to keep track of all the different deflections you and Asterix keep throwing around.

Lol

Ok
After the refs check the balls each team takes control of their own balls. The Colts balls were not in the same bag.

Belloicheck says the way they rub their balls make them harder and they go soft a bit later. Why would he say that?😃

That is post hoc rationalization.

If we're going to judge DELIBERATE rule breaking on the basis of whether it made a difference after all, just get rid of the rules altogether.

I would say no but then again, I've never felt the need to cheat.

But regardless, I still believe this is a non-story. I pretty much despise the Patriots and do like the Seahawks because of Pete, but I almost want the Patriots to blow them out just to stop the noise.
