Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

Walsh was instructed to use a "cover story" if anyone questioned him about the filming.

This to me is the most damning statement I have heard the past few days because it makes it clear that Belichick flat out lied to Goodell. He initially claimed that he didn’t intentionally cheat, but he simply misunderstood the rules. From the instructions given to Matt Walsh, Belichick clearly knew that what he was doing was against the rules.

Lol

Ok
He didn't need to figure out which balls were which, they were in separate bags. Did you not really read it?

Even if it is determined that the balls were not deflated in the bathroom, it does not mean that they were not deflated.

My way of making a living the past 20+ years has been as a welder. I can guaran-damn-tee you that tomorrow morning I'd know the settings were off on my welder (even just a tad bit). Tom freakin Brady knows the feel of a football like I know my job skill. His ass got caught his plea of ignorance takes away any integrity he had left. IMO... The more they lie and draw this out, the stiffer the penalty should be by the league.

Sounds like they need to take some air out of this controversy so they can get a firm grip on it.

Most impressive write-up I've seen about the physics out it. Short of it: Weather conditions in fact CAN explain the PSI drop.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the Colts' balls still correctly inflated? So it doesn't matter if the weather could theoretically cause the drop in pressure. If only one team's balls were under inflated then there has to be another explanation besides weather since they were both exposed to the same elements.

How many seconds would it take to get the right bag and unzip it and fish 12 balls out?

How many seconds to get the psi gauge/ pump/ deflator out?

How many seconds would it take to lower ONE ball by 1.8 psi?

How many seconds to put the balls back in, zip up, and open the door?

I was being WAY generous by saying 7 seconds per Ball

This sounds impossible...

I guess I'm in the Super Minority because my Give-A-Shit Meter is still stuck at zero.

Playing with an under-inflated ball during the first half didn't make the Patriots receivers and running backs run faster, it didn't make the blockers open better holes and it didn't help the Patriots defense hold the Colts to seven points.

Apparently, it didn't make the Patriots offense any better either, as they scored 17 points in the first half with the under-inflated ball and 28 points in the second half with a properly inflated ball.

The Patriots are the best team in the AFC. End of story. A dopey ball wouldn't change that.
