I’m just happy he’s not going to the Chargers. He’s a better coach than many here will admit, but he’s got the deck heavily stacked against him in this scenario.

Its not really all that much. A late 1st plus probably an early 2nd, plus Denver gets a 3rd back in return. Makes sense to me.

I really think it's a money grab by Payton though. He is going to be up against it in Denver too. Denver doesn't have much draft capital or a very talented roster. If I were them, I would trade most of their stars and just blow the whole thing up and let them rebuild it all with Payton. I'd much rather see him in Denver, than with the Chargers any day though.

The fact that he’s going to a dead end job like Denver is the best possible outcome for the Chiefs.
Beat me to it.

I’d like to inform the Broncos that they could hire me for half of what they’ll pay Sean Payton, keep the draft picks, and still win the same amount of games against the Chiefs.

My offer stands.

Smart by Payton to take a job that'll make him the highest paid HC with Wussel as QB. If he's cooked, then people will just blame Wuss for the losses. If Payton makes the Donks competitive, then he looks like a genius.

Exactly. A Scumbag coach, for a scumbag franchise. Perfect fit!

He's a fine coach, but he's absolute poison if he wants full organizational control.

Payton is going to have to adjust his offense. Reading the whole field is not Wilson's strong suit. Seattle did a masterful job working around that limitation.

Sirius xm going hard on the Broncos. This is hilarious.

-desperately wanted Ryans but he turned them down
-desperately wanted Harbaugh and met with him twice but he said no
-Paton wanted Quinn but he turned them down

Payton was their last option and they didn’t want him bc of the draft cost and he wanted full control but they had no choice bc they didn’t want any first time HC but Ryans due to fan apathy.

They caved and gave Payton what he wanted. They expect George Paton to be fired soon so Sean can bring his own people in. They expect Jeff Ireland or Ryan Pace to be the GM

It's a **** to for a team that's stuck with a trash QB that will be there for at least 3 more seasons and hardly any picks because they traded for that shit QB.

It'd make more sense for a team that is close and just has a shit HC.
