If it wasn't for Kurt Warner, Todd Haley would have never coached the CHIEFS. He's living off his father, Dick Haley's coattails. Todd Haley is NOT NFL worthy.

This is what happens when you have a dysfunctional owner. Dee Haslam is friends with hue. Telling that she was not at the press conference discussing the firing. They should have fired him before the season. Instead, they forced Dorsey to keep a lame duck. So who do you blame? Do you blame Dorsey for not finding an oc to support a lame duck offense? Maybe. Do you blame haley for not running a lame duck system? Maybe. Do you blame hue for desperately clinging to his job and asserting control? Maybe.

It's possible none of this happened if Dorsey was allowed to choose his coach and oc with matching ideas and philosophies in the first place.

Hugh is and always has been a total egomaniac going back to his days in Oakland.

Dysfunction follows Haley everywhere. At some point it's pretty obvious he's a source of dysfunction and not a victim of it.

Yup, they both richly deserved their walking papers

Haley has proven over and over again that he cant get along with anyone other than Kurt Warner, and thats only because Kurt is basically a Saint

So you're saying that Todd Haley is a better offensive coach than Bruce Arians? I mean, off the bat I think that's absolutely insane.

Ben's sack numbers dropped about 3 years AFTER Haley arrived. Ben was also THIRTY when Todd Haley arrived and had been a starter for eight seasons. He was well past the need for developing and his numbers have largely remained identical. The only thing that changed is how frequently he's sacked, and it simply doesn't line up with Haley's arrival. It probably just has more to do with Ben's maturation and understanding he can't extend plays quite like he could when he was 26.

I think you're giving credit to Haley for stuff that doesn't really have any correlation with his arrival. He's a good OC, but he's hardly responsible for 'saving Ben's career'. I'm actually struggling to understand what in the world would even GIVE you that idea.

No, I'm saying what made Ben great in his 20s wasn't sustainable for Ben in his 30s. From what I remember, the rooneys wanted this too, knowing they signed Ben to a huge contract. Big Ben changed from a freelancer who held the ball for 10 seconds as defenders pinballed off of him into a qb who was running an actual offense, and haley forced him to get rid of the ball quickly. From the sound of it, this was not a natural maturation. Ben resisted this tooth and nail. Haley forcing young big Ben to play conservative ball may have kept Ben from being super bowl great... Which is why I'm iffy on if he was the right coach for baker. But for 30s big Ben, Haley saved his career. And of course it took 3 years... One thing haley deserves huge credit for in pitt was turning a bad ol into a stellar one.

I'm surprised Ben is still standing even after taking less hits the last few years. The guy is going to retire a cripple.

Oh, okay.

Ben may have needed an asshole like Haley to get him to adjust his game.

He absolutely did. Ben wanted the whole world to revolve around him. He was headed to an early retirement. He hated Haley but only because Ben wanted his and Haley was more interested in the team.

Haley isn't perfect, that's for sure. But when it comes to character, there's few people less slimy than Ben Roethlisberger.
