Berry, Eric - Still probably a top-3 box safety in the league
Sorensen, Daniel - A for effort but is more of a FS
Parker, Ron - shit tackler, bad angles, often weak effort in run support
Murray, Eric - Unknown, but since he was average size CB who we converted to safety, I doubt it.
Huff, Marqueston - Good effort in run support but considered a weak tackler

Except the contract we got for Howard looked great at the time. He got significantly less than we all expected.

No doubt, but let's not go all revisionist about it. Shit happens. We'll be fine.

We just played in the playoffs the Steelers who have a great Oline and arguably the best RB in football and we gave them 18 points. 18 points! No touchdowns! You would have thought running at will against our defense would have opened up their passing game but it did not.

I hope the run defense will be improved but I'd say I'm more concerned with improving the pass rush and making sure the pass defense stays just as strong.

I feel like the running game is overrated by some sometimes.
We have no idea what the Steelers' running game did to our pass D because Rapist was throwing bloated mallards in the red zone.

I would imagine that they will be taking a long hard look at Brantley in the 2nd, if he falls to them.

All I know is this. Since Smith is staying this season, which sucks by the way, Houston had better get back to form. We need to be able to Kill the QB this season. He cost a shit ton so he must be ready to rumble.

Cool, there are some very good DL prospects who should be available around 27. Would be nice to have another stud paired with Jones.

I doubt there would be any DL at 27 worth drafting... especially one that fits inside. I felt like they were already likely to draft one in rd 3 or 4. Someone like Dalvin Tomlinson... Vincent Taylor... Montravius Adams.. or maybe DJ Jones/DeAngelo Brown on day 3. KC is set well enough with CJ, Bailey, and RNR at DE. RNR even got looks as NT, but needs to get thicker to do more than rotate inside a little.
