Guns n Roses to reunite in 2016?
Dane, i thought you said it would never happen??
http://www.franchiseherald.com/artic...union-tour.htm According to Blabbermouth, promoters and organizers are now cooking a possible reunion tour for the American rock band. "Slash and Axl have verbally agreed to get things together again and reform the original band," the insider reportedly said. "The live shows are where they can show the world what they had and also make the greatest earnings." "Promoters are quietly working away to land opportunities. Details of the reunion are expected to leak out in the next few days. Everyone is expecting huge demand for tickets, but the boys are very humble and are not sure what to expect." And while no official announcement has been made yet, Alternative Nation, claimed that Slash may have been reserving a short summer time for a Guns N' Roses reunion tour, while his other band Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators is scheduled to perform shows 2016 and 2017. According to a report from Jose Norberto Flesch of GNR Truth, the band has now ironed out any legal issues constraining the possibility of an original line up tour for Guns N' Roses. "Heads up!" the report said. "The 'possible return of Guns' story is stronger now. I've heard that the legal issues have been solved. Now it's up to the band." And to further strengthen the claims, reports suggested that Guns N' Roses has been offered to play at Coachella for quite some time already. "Guns already has an offer from Coachella for a long time," the report said. "It was only a matter of solving their issues." "European festivals are also anxiously awaiting for a resolution for all Guns related problems." |

If everything Dane says about the reason why Izzy and Adler are out is true, and I have no reason to doubt him... then I am severely disappoint with Slash above all, then Axl, then Duff
They dont wanna give the other originals a fair shake, primarily so Slash can rake it in? Wow, ****' em As far as I knew, Axl and Izzy are still close pals... that might change now SWEAR I wont pay a dime to see these guys, but I would've paid through my ****ing nose to see the original lineup |

Also, keep in mind, Duff and Slash, just like Frank, Chris, Richard and Dizzy, are all employees of GNR/Axl. Axl knows he can get more guaranteed money with Slash and Duff but that doesn't mean that he's treating them as equal partners, either. |

If Izzy doesn't want in, Gilby's the right guy, not Fortus. While I realize that Fortus and Frank are much better players than Izzy and Adler, the "magic" of that band came from Izzy and Adler, not Frank or Richard. |

well, a few years back I dropped I think a total of $225 to see "GNR" (Axl and the hired guns), and it sucked. Hard.
my wife and I spent 3/4 of the concert sitting out in the lounge area of the theater, drinking beer and talking, waiting for our friends to get out after the concert was done. The mix was terrible - ALL vocals and ALL bass drum. couldn't even hear any bass lines or rhythm guitar. compound that with the fact Axl looked like he was about to pass out the while 'singing' and forgetting words.... awful. that was my last "Man...I gotta see Band XYZ again before they stop touring"/money grab concerts I'll ever go to. shit, one of the best concerts I've been to was Tesla about 8 years ago. $35 (maybe $50), small outside standing room only venue... it was awesome.

What I will say is that I fully agree with your assessments about Izzy and Steve being the magic. Earlier in the thread there was mild debate about Matt Sorum versus Steve Adler and I completely concur with what you said regarding their respective skill sets. It is hard to explain but the raw edge that Adler provides to his backbeat is something Sorum was never able to match. I played drums for a lot of years and God only knows how many times that tracklist for Appetite for Destruction got beat into my old Pearl kit so many years ago.... |

It just sucks to think of what used to be such a raw and real rock band being total money whores like this... if you're gonna get the band back together, try to recapture some old ugly, then do it right |
