To me, this isn't a Guthrie issue. This is a Hootie game thread issue. It's already been confirmed that who starts the GDT directly impacts the play on the field. Today merely confirms it.

Guthrie did his job. If the offense had gotten to Kluber like they had in the past, everyone would be talking about how great Guthrie was pitching today, not how he's no match for a guy like Kluber.

Guthrie is a pro. He knows what's going on out there. Save the pen for the Jays. They actually know how to score runs. We get a split there and it's all good.
