My Engagement just got broken off but the Royals are 6-0!
So apparently its been building with her for a long time, but the final straw was that I wanted to watch the game today instead of going with her to some BBQ at one of her friends' house that I cant stand. Last night making her watch the game with me instead of our usual Sat night of watching movies might have had something to do with it as well.

No more than an hour after the game ended she came over and gave me her ring back and said "I cant do this anymore". I just stood there dumbfounded as I watched her walk to her car. Im sure its not just the baseball games, we've been fighting a lot the last few months about stupid shit but I guess this finally sent her over the edge.

I'm sure I'll be hurt by this tomorrow, but until then go Royals!

After I had gone out on a couple of dates with the now Mrs. Fishingrod, I called her and asked if she would like to go out and do something. She said sure. I asked if there was anything she wanted to do which she responded “ let’s just go to the bar have a few beers and watch Basketball” WINNING

Sounds like it worked out for the best actually.
Hanging with you SO should never be looked upon as a chore. You hang together and be together because it is suppose to be joyful.
Granted there are instances where you would rather not do something that your SO has in mind. Usually there is a compromise that can be made, or sometimes it is so important to the other that you just suck it up and make the best of it.
