Apparently, even PB's Mom and brothers doesn't want to spend any more time with him than necessary. Instead of having to come up with excuses like "Gotta work tomorrow", they just show up late and zoom thru it. This makes me wonder what the PB holidays are like. "Hey everybody, come on over and watch the turkey. ... On DVR. "Hey mom, here's the unwrapping of presents ... On DVR. We skipped yours tho. ..it was too much like a commercial". |

So, PB's World Series experience last year...
Games in KC...DVR to get through them in 30 minutes/check fangraphs later Games in SF...Just fangraphs, because he can't stomach watching NL baseball You sound fun. We lost the series, but your kids will always have those memories of sitting with dad as he checked fangraphs to see if we should have won |

The sports experience is about sitting down, drinking beer, and watching things happen live. I've DVR'd games before, and even successfully turned off my computer and TV long enough to watch the game without knowing the end result so it was "like" I was watching it live. It wasn't the same thing. Not even close. I still knew that the shit already happened. It was like watching ESPN classic. I got bored, to be honest. Always watch sports live. Always. If you can't, then just look at a game highlight reel on Sportscenter or on the internet. |

What do you do while the games are being played? Play Xbox live and talk shit to pre-teens about how bad ass you are at Madden? |

I havent played Madden in ten years but I do love DVRing Chiefs games. Regular season nfl games are miserable to sit through start to finish. Don't know how that makes me pathetic. Lets me get another hour of sleep in

Lmao
If you're watching regular season football on DVR, you're just not a real football fan. Period |

Too much social media to dvr games and not know outcome before you watch in many situations. And knowing outcome before you watch is ****ing stupid.

I'll almost always watch big games live though, regardless of the sport... I watched KU's NC win in 2008 on my DVR because something came up at work, and it drove me crazy avoiding texts and the internet. And uh, if you're with a group of people, you could always talk with each other during commercials.

I watch all non-primary (games I'm not vested in) NFL games on DVR. You get a bunch of 3 and outs, replays, and you get more Kid Rock I Was Born Free Chevy commercial than football. I don't need to hunker down and watch a STL/AZ Thursday night snoozefest in real time.
