My understanding:

We have the tie-breakers with the Patriots. (And Bills, and Dolphins.)

If we beat the Broncos in two weeks, we'll have the tie-breaker over them (we've won three common games, at most, they can only have won two).

So while it would be great to get home field advantage throughout the playoffs, we can beat the Broncos go 1-1 against the Cards and Steelers and beat Oakland and San Diego in our games against them.

We're obviously getting waaaaaaay ahead of ourselves here, but if we do that, we've at least secured a first round bye. The only thing that could derail that is if the Steelers totally win out -- unlikely, but there it is.

At that point, we just need the Pats to lose TWO games.

I don't know where those games are, but if they do, we get home field.

This requires too much thought.

Chiefs win out, coupled by one more NE loss, Chiefs get #1seed.

Chiefs win out, #2 seed.

Quite simple.

Gronk was healthy when they played us. He said so himself.

He was starting to come around. He played a fair bit better in that game, no question.

The real problem with us was our offensive line still wasn't settled at all. The turnaround has been as much or more the OLine than the Gronk. Though Gronk becoming GRONK has been huge too.

Who gives a shit if he wasn't anyway? The guy's a ****ing brokedick.

Ol' Jaymaal scored 3 TDs on a high ankle sprain against those overrated hacks.

I'm fine with a rematch. May both teams stay healthy and see that happen.

In Gillette.

Of course. You need home field to feel good.

The chiefs can beat you in Gillette. You can't win in arrow head.

And now you know that.

Yeah, actually, I don't. The Chiefs were by far the better team that dreaded Monday night. I know perfectly well, however, that Team A beating Team B on one day, even by a huge margin, doesn't mean that Team A will beat Team B later.

Two easy examples. The Rams beat the Patriots the year that the Pats went on to beat them in the SB.

The Pats whipped the Jets something like 45-3 on MNF one year (2010 maybe?) (in October I think it was, maybe even November) at home, then LOST to them at home in the playoffs.

Then why did you feel the need to say in Gillette.

I have zero doubt that the chiefs can win in Gillette. I have no need to say I want them in arrowhead.

That's the difference.

The I-Boner is so high before this game.

It worries me...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

The Chiefs have what it takes to beat the "new, healthier" Patriots in Missouri, Foxborough or Soldier Field... Pats fans refusing to recognize this are clearly the ones being overconfident.

Having said that, I want Indy in round one... its time to put that curse to bed.

When did I ever bring up Peyton?

I'm talking about Brady in the playoffs the last decade, specially, the past 5 years.

He's been horrific, has he not?

Horrific may be letting him off nicely.

Because you have to run down Brady to pump up your boy.

I can go into the litany of reasons why the Pats didn't win the SB, but why bother with you? You hardly care. You have an agenda to fulfill.
