AFC West - 7 games left

Hola - so I've taken a break from posting here for the most part and I think we're all happier. However, going into the final stretch of 7 games with the bye weeks done, it looks like it's going to be a nice battle for the division crown.

Not much room for error, quite honestly, with each team having at least 3 difficult (in red) games in the final 7. The Chargers, in my opinion have the toughest road with the Ravens, Patriots, Denver, SF and KC. They're really going to have to turn it on to make up the 2 game gap, otherwise they're pinning their hopes on a wildcard, which is more difficult as the 3rd place divisional team ... and you have three 6 win teams in the North.

Denver and KC have the game @KC and that could mean everything. If KC can knock off SEA next week, that's a monstrous development for the race. My guess is most chalked that up as a loss, but they've been very mortal lately.

Denver has looked anything but unbeatable the last few weeks, they've played ok, but the OL is having issues - too many penalties and the defense bends and breaks on 3rd down against aggressive teams.

At some point, that could cost them a win against a Miami or Cincy.

Nice win for KC at Buffalo yesterday, good road win. At the very least, it appears right now that we have a 3-team race. Should look that way for the next 2 weeks, as I think SD can win two straight (OAK, STL). All three teams can win their next two games and then we're heading into December with quite the finish for the divisional crown.

Good luck with all that...

Broncos (7-2 overall / 3-0 Div)
Lost @ SEA and @ NEP
@ STL
MIA
@KC
BUF
@SD
@CIN
OAK

Chiefs (6-3 overall / 1-1 Div)
Lost to TEN, @ DEN and @ SFF
SEA
@OAK
DEN
@AZ
OAK
@PIT
SD

Chargers (5-4 overall / 1-2 Div)
Lost @AZ, to KC, @ DEN and @MIA
OAK
STL
@BAL
NEP
DEN
@SF
@KC

Yeah, even a total @$$hole like me can make friends with rival fans. I've been on the Mane since it started and posted on the DPO forums before the Mane existed. That's the fun of it - getting to enjoy the win. Giving your friends $#it when you win and having to eat it when you lose.

It's why sports is fun.

I don't want a forum where there are no rival fans and we just sit here jerking each other off all day...

I really like the people over at the Mane. Mostly very good people and they're close over there like most of us are on here.

That board is not run like ours or as well as ours though. JMO.

That doesn't mean I don't love me some quality Taco John $3it flinging...

That was kind of my point though Rausch. I have always had a high respect for you. Even though you didn't come to my rescue. I also didn't start off in this thread ripping the guy, only after he made his assumptions did I say anything, and pretty much, until after the week 13 game is over between the Broncos and Chiefs, its open warfare on Donkey fans. And I mean, I get along with Listopencil, and have had casual talks with MagicHef.

So im not immune to being cordial with Bronco fans. Just right now, I cant do it.

With all do respect.

Oh I agree, but you walked into a very volatile situation. We had just been through a cluster****, miserable season that capped off numerous horrible coaches, personnel decisions, fan revolt, and a terrible player murder-suicide.

We were excited about getting Andy and many were masturbating furiously to the concept of drafting our own franchise qb....And then we traded for Alex. Needless to say many hated the idea and, quite frankly, almost a season and a half lately have only warmed up to the idea. You came here as a fan of the man we acquired that many despised. Needless to say it wasn't going to be nice sweet talks culminating with late night hand jobs in the shower.

How about this. I wont bother responding to you, and you don't bother responding to me. Problem solved, and you wont have to worry about my "crying", or lack of comprehension, and I don't want to worry about your passive aggressive poking.

No, no sarcasm

Exactly what the sentence says.

I asked a question, you didn't answer the question, you rambled on about something else. I replied this is why people hate you, no?

It's one thing in a debate to skim the surface of what your opposition is saying and to deliver an oratory performance on your own ideals. It's another thing in a discussion amongst friends to ignore the question to pontificate on God knows what.

But this is perfect. You're hopeless.

Shit. I'd rather converse with the Donkey fans here than the traitorous 9er fans who followed Smith over here. As Katipan pointed out, they seem to have the sensitivity of little girls and the same drama queen attitudes.

It will definitely be a tough matchup, but Denver should be able to plug in the holes on offense to beat a team like BUF in Denver. They just haven't shown up for the most part in the last few games. Call it whatever you like, but I think they've bought into their own hype and it cost them big time.

The OL has issues and the defense has yet to meet a 3rd and anything at a pivotal point that they didn't allow to convert. It's mind boggling at times.

Plenty of blame to go around and mark my words, McManus will cost them a win when it matters. I don't like him.

That being said - they can still win the division. Unfortunately, they need to shore up a few areas before I will get too excited about playoff greatness.

TEX, Mav and Virus ... you're way too fixated on me. Jumping out and just saying a certain team sucks is boring. Sure, I've made back handed compliments and I believe my team is better... (hint) I'm a fan of that other team.

I'm glad that KC has the perfect anecdote for a great secondary - a passing offense that would make Trent Dilfer sprout wood. That is not sustainable beyond the playoffs.

But, we'll see... it's happened before. Denver will need to pull a 180 over the last few weeks if they are to have a chance at winning in KC. There's no doubt about that in my mind.

I wonder when Oakland will get their first win... I'm not predicting it would be this week, but after the big win vs SEA and traveling west for Thursday night... this place will melt down should that happen.

Anything can happen in a divisional game and I'm obviously hoping for some surprises in that one. (hoping that was blunt and real enough for the 3 of ya)

I answered your question. Thoroughly, and completely, you refused to accept it because of your premise that Sutter wouldn't give people what they were expecting. And I replied that he had already stated that there will be a finality to it, and that he didn't want a sopranos ending to the show.

So, who really was lacking in comprehension?

Yes, im hopeless. So maybe with your conclusion to that, we can move on, and more importantly, YOU can move on. it really is quite tiring to be honest to always have these oh so important useless debates with you.

you are smarter, you win, I lack comprehension, and am clearly reeruned.

Denver is having offensive line probs. don't think they wanna come into Arrowhead with O line probs. also their run game sucks and as we know Manning can't make many plays with his legs. I think we beat them. If we can get our offense running at Arizona we should have it made! Then pray someone hands NE a loss!

there is nothing traitorous about the ex 49ers fans who came here.

That's a simplistic elementary view. We were outcasted for believing in Alex Smith when he was actually the starter, and essentially scarlet lettered when he was benched, even though we still supported the team.

I haven't visited the Mane in years... been a long time. When I ran that fantasy football site, I visited a number of other fan boards. I ran into this group back on the Star board, before that exodus. I get bored yapping with other Broncos' fans... I like the varying opinions. Back in the day, this place was greatness. It's still ok, just not as cool as it was... but, that happens over time.
