Chiefs YPC this preseason was over 4 in 3 of 4 games (3.8 was the lowest) and Charles only played one series.

Pass blocking is the problem.

Nope. All it will do is **** draft position.
Yeah it matters. Just like cohesion matters to the Oline so does having success on the football field.
If we can beat the Titans and the Dolphins, i know our record in FL, then get an Andy Reid win after the bye week, Chargers we could be 3-3 through the tough early stretch of the season and somewhere in here getting players back. We then play teams like the Rams, Bills, Jets. We could be 6-3 going into the Seattle game and then the Faid twice within a month while only getting better as the season progresses.
I don't have a good feeling that this is the way things will go down, but I am not going to give up all hope just yet. I do not want the first overall pick in the draft via a 2 win season either but I am fearful of a bad season and a loss to either the Titans or the Dolphins and we are likely on our way to a 5 or 6 win season that would put us high enough in the draft.

I think this is the issue with making such conclusions based on the box scores. KC had some late quarter runs that were good and will skew the consistent troubles they had early on in grinding out 4-5 yds on 1st and 2nd down. It just wasn't happening enough. Too many 3rd and longs due to stuffed runs on the early downs.

Run blocks should still be a very real concern.

True story. In the first game this team looked like it had picked up where it had left off (run blocking) from the playoff game as far as Knile's carries were concerned, then it started to regress through the pre-season.

While Knile isn't the most patient ball carrier and certainly isn't the safest when carrying the rock, the guy is very good, or was very good last year, at making 3-4 yard carries turn into a few extra yards. What I've seen most of the pre-season so far is making 2-3 yard carries out of collisions at the line of scrimmage.

Once we get into some 2WR, 2TE 1RB sets though, I don't imagine we'll have huge concerns from the ground game.

I don't see it. Oline sucks, receiving core is horrific. Defense sucks. Right now I see it Titans 26-20

Reid ...

Andy Reid is the only real reason for us winning games this year.

I think it's silly - of COURSE we will beat the Titans week 1 - Remember - we didn't even play our main stud player yesterday - Alex Smith was on the bench that whole Green Bay game. Duhhh...

Washington who is their 3rd receiver would probably be the chiefs top WR. Yes I said it. He's a better all around WR than Bowe. Suck it.
Dumb...very dumb.

He will do better this season I bet - and I'm not being funny or sarcastic. He has some good moments - hopefully they've worked with him a lot.

If the '11 Eagles is any indication of what an Andy Reid coached football team can and can't do- there is definitely room for disappointment.
