Ok, now for the GOOD of the Smith trade...

Not to say there is a ton of good but let's try and point out some goodness from it since it is a done deal...

1. It means Cassel is gone....
2. We have a QB who actually has experience in college and more than part of 1 season in the pro's for the first time since?????
3. We still hold our #1 pick and could still pick up a QB in the draft
4. Smith is a viable backup should #3 come about

Ok, well that's all I got .....

you sure do know a lot about Johnsons

you must inspect a lot of them up close and personal since you can tell the difference

Ive been saying it constantly I just don't feel the need to start a thread for it BUT

We need to do this to our roster IMO

Sign a free agent WR next offseason someone like steve smith, who we all already know is Baltimores new Boldin and is tearing it up, Or next offseason I think Boldin too is to be released and he is a receiver alex likes to throw to. Physical possession and fights for the ball type receiver.. Next after signing a proven free agent WR at low cost like those teams did, we need to sign a WR round 1 explosive if hes there, IF NOT we need a dominant pass rusher.

Next year our team should look

QB Alex smith
RB Jamall
RB Knile
WR Bowe
WR Boldin (Or proven free agent low cost)
WR 1st round pick
WR4 whoever improves in camp from this years roster
TE Kelce
TE Fasano

THAT is a powered offense than can compete with other offenses in the league. We just don't have the above right now to compliment our TE and RB spots with our WR threats. No one is fearing our WR corps and we need to change that immediately so we can utilize our TE"s and RB's in screen and crap.

Then, to finish it off after round 1 next year.. Round 2 we get a pass rusher, rounds 3-7 we go all Oline and one DB and Rest D line and maybe one safety if not a DB.

Pulling the race card on this is silly.
Or it could be the fact that a Chiefs fan would know that Nico Johnson is on the practice squad.

Nah. As long as you don't say "Redskins", you are good.
