The formerdb / Filmroom QB theory with facts even

The short of it, this is NOT a QB driven league.

Say what?

Well here's some interesting facts he threw out there that at least may give you pause. I thought it was interesting series of tweets. The collective CP hive mind may be blown.

Big Ben attempted 16 passes a game in the season he won his first ring.

Is it Big Ben, Eli Manning, Rogers that turned the fortunes of Pittsburgh, NYG, Green Bay around? Seems to me they always been pretty good.

Statistically neither Brady or Big Ben's 23 SB rating screams elite to me at the times they won.

Since Tom Brady has put up elite numbers, his team hasn't won a SB, won 3 with above average numbers. But it's a QB driven league

Ben won with a rating in the 20's in his first SB.

During Pats SB runs with Pioli/Crennel/Daboll the QB rating of Tom Brady never surpassed the rating Cassel posted in 2010.

I disagree...SB have a way of getting spun overwhelmingly in the QB favor, when other factors contributed more at times.

Brady wasn't elite when he won. Like I said, myths. Research and tell me they were elite when they won. what about his second and third? Never had a higher rating than Cassel's 2010 rating...is Cassel elite?

Last 12 years 2 top 5 offenses have won SB, 5 top 10 offenses have won. Same span 5 top 5 defenses have won, 8 top 10 defenses have won SB.

In Big Ben's title runs he led the 15th and 22nd offense along with the 4th and 1st ranked defense...but it's a QB league.

if the offense can be top 10 then I would do backflips...what I am saying...ppl need to quit with the "QB league" mess.

yeah, it's a media spin job...not the statistical support needed to continue perpetuating the myth of "QB win SB".

‏From Me:

@TheFilmRoom Since according to your tweets its not a QB league is it your assertion the Chiefs can go to the SB with Cassel at the helm?

Cordell ‏@TheFilmRoom
If San Fran with Alex Smith can knock on the door along with Flacco, and Sanchez then I see it as a possibility.

But he cant do it all, the defense HAS to be very solid or he wont win a shootout with an opposing top QB in the playoffs.

Look at Manning, he slayed'em for years in indy, winning records every year, playoffs every year... but they (almost) always lost in the playoffs because the D was all speedy finesse and no meat.

Gotta have a good defense.
You'll see the same in Pile High this year. They just can't compete with the big boys.

Reppin' this...and it's not a slam on you or your posts in this thread or anything. I haven't read the posts your referring to.

I have posted on message boards since I was 17 years old...for 12 years now. Obviously not on here for 12 years, but primarily on Iowa high school, college and youth wrestling message boards. I'm a better poster on those boards, for I truly know my shit when it comes to wrestling. I am a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I have also posted on IMDB, blogcatalog (back when I was in a frenzy promoting my humor blog) and Nine Inch Nails forums (what can I say...huge fan). When I created my account here, I thought I knew way more about the Chiefs and football than I actually did. Then, after creating an account, reading many of your posts every day and occasionally being slaughtered by a couple of you along the way for posts that were potentially very stupid, it has been an ongoing humbling experience since. I have primarily been in "learning mode" on here. Just sitting back, reading what ya'll are posting and refraining from expressing many of my opinions because I know the chances of coming off as an uninformed dipshit is relatively high compared to what I'm used to because like I implied earlier, some of you guys seem to really know your shit. Not to mention, the thought of being torn up by milkman, Dane, SNR, DJ's, tk13 or many others who know more than me AND are not hesitant to call someone out after posting something potentially stupid, is not exactly a flattering thought. Speaking of milkman, from the moment I caught on to his style, I wondered how many posts I could put up before being labeled a "dumbass" by him. He hasn't called me a dumbass (yet), but he did call me a ****ing moron last week....I wasn't too upset. I made it to 2000 posts before it happened.

ANYWAYS, after 12 years of posting on a variety of message boards, it's rare to see someone admit that they made some dumb posts in the past, especially if it's something they presumably put a lot of thought into.

RESPEK!!!
