Alex Smith just wins!

Props for the QB who always finds a way to win. Things weren't going our way in the first half but he didn't quit and found a way to lead us to victory.

Come on man, i'm not some crazy Alex Smith basher.

Most people around here have labeled me a stupid Homer now.

Still ... Alex Smith is playing terrible right now.

Not seeing open receivers
Missing open receivers
Not gaining many yards with his leg
Still getting scared in pocket as usual

Alex Smith left at least 17 pts on the field today, if not 21. He is not the only issue but he's been a significant one lately.

He had maybe his worst game as a Chief.

Let's hope he pulls it together, because he isn't going anywhere.

Eric Berry and Marcus Peters GAVE us this W, much like Ron Parker GAVE us the W against Buffalo in 2014.

You can't expect the defense to give us wins every week, particularly against playoff teams.

Alex AT LEAST has to play like his usual game manager checkdown charlie self in order to be remotely considered good for this team. It's concerning that he gave us zero offensive TDs.

Dude Pitt got blown out twice.

I'll cut him some slack this week. We ARE in first place with Denver and Oakland right there. They came back and won. It's what good teams do.

Chiefs are a good team.

Good to see the defense stiffen up and steal the game in the 2nd half. Ugly win, still counts in the W column.

OMG HE'S THE BEST RIGHT??? I really have a bad feeling that even with Maclin that after the concussion games, this is him for the next few games, if not the entirety of the season. He's just off.

Hopefully, there are no lingering issues with being concussed. Sure seemed like a possibility, or maybe just rust. That scramble he had towards the side line was extremely slow for him.

Well.. I think QBs have really bad games at times. I expect the accuracy to be better. The more concerning thing for me is the fundamentals (footwork and progressions/lack thereof) and composure. That is where I have to figure at this point.. he's maxed himself out.. even regressed a bit.

THAT is really disappointing for a QB in yr 4 of this scheme.. and an older vet that supposedly puts in tons of football prep-work off the field.

I really expected him to up his game further this year... and he has not. Dropped passes hurt.. an OL not top 10 hurts. Andy's playcalls hurt... but at some point, Smith should still be playing better football out there.

So, the Chiefs will have to make a hard decision in the offseason. These final games, Alex Smith is auditioning for keeping his job, and being a Chief.

Sink or swim, Smith.

Smith has shown he can ball. Look at San Diego for starters, and the the Raider game.

He has to settle down and get it together.

None of those things actually address Alex Smith though.

You're just saying that you don't care if he plays like shit, we won.

That's fine until you get into the playoffs and all the still no longer wins you games.

Just like back when we kept winning games because of Dante Hall. That stuff just isn't going to carry over forever and especially not in the playoffs.

Good win!!
