Chiefs have big interest in Red Bryant

Was told yesterday that the Chiefs will have big interest in Red Bryant. He would replace Jackson in base package and might even cause Dontari to move out of the nose and into Jackson's spot.

One of the best jobs of rounding out a roster that I have seen.

There have been a lot of teams that have put together good rosters, but these guys just had talent everywhere in their 53.
I get your sarcasm but that's pretty much what it is, they are loaded at DT, they had

Red Bryant
Brandon Mebane
Tony McDaniel
and Clinton McDonald

all productive, all do the same thing, all decent at the same position with similar stats. They can afford to cut one that saves them the most money to spend elsewhere at other positions they need help at. In this case the more expensive one. That doesn't make Red Bryant a bad player, he's a good player, but it's a numbers game.

So a proven play maker isn't in the mix?

I'd still want anyone the Seahawks cut on the Chiefs unless it rhymes with Schmidney Schmice

Atleast partially I'd say yeah... they DO have a leg up on the league right now in what they're looking for in defensive players to counteract these free rein offenses we have right now.

Not sure what you mean about the "Dorsey and rest" comment... but between how that team coaches and drafts they've found a way to stymie this bullshit arena league plague that's going around to some extent.

Its no wonder everyone is coveting their defensive free agents... GIMME SOME OF THAT they're all saying.

The guy has the ability to change the outcome of a game. Is the money the issue here, that's the only reason I asked.

i'd jizz all over myself If we could pick up red. not even for his field play, and versatility. but for his demeanor. love the way he carries himself. very calm, and great guy off the field. ****ing beast on the field. one of my favorite Dlineman in the nfl. and one of the only guys I like on the shithawks.

As mcaj said, pretty much. They've also got some younger players on the roster that will perform the same roles such as Dewayne Cherrington and Jesse Williams.

they have A LOT of FAs, probably trying to fit some form of Bennett, Thurmond, Baldwin, Tate under the same umbrella. Their other DTs are also FAs I believe. Someone is going to still sneak free from that team but this is their way of trying to keep everyone they like.

Red Bryant is a god damn bear.

If we could sign him, that would really bolster the DL.

Poe
Bailey
Bryant
Powe
Devito
Catapano

If rotated correctly, that's a formidable NFL DL that can rotate and keep each other fresh and hungry.
