Jesus, Samuel L. Jackson had no business as Mace Windu, a character that sucked anyway. But if you have to have him, you don't cast a guy who is a known bad ass to play a ****ing boring, cardboard piece of shit like that. Jackson was cast simply because he wanted to be in it and he's a big draw. His fans had to be like..."Holy shit...what the hell is he doing?" I know I was.

Prequels were a huge waste of film. Hopefully JJ can make them go away in our minds...

Disney To Make Live Action Star Wars Netflix Shows!

Quote:
Disney has decided to make multiple live-action Star Wars shows on the popular Netflix streaming service…

According to multiple sources Making Star Wars.Com and Epicstream Jordan Madison is reporting that Disney is planning to release the new live-action shows on Netflix. Madison has reported that because od their continuing success of the Daredevil show and the variety of Marvel properties, Disney is intending on keeping things going with the ever famous Star Wars franchise.

According to Madison and making Star Wars.com, they are considering as many as three live action Star Wars series on Netflix…

“This seems to make a lot of sense for Lucas film they are saying at least. Being that they want to keep a cinematic feel from the movies going into a TV show. Obviously, Netflix would allow such a presentation much, much better than network TV. It will also allow Lucasfilm a chance to explore characters and stories which might not be a good fit anywhere else.”

That's a really poorly written article with a massive amount of speculation and inaccuracies.

While it's true that live action TV, (like what Marvel has launched with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, etc.) has been planned, it's not going to happen any time soon.

JJ Abrams and Larry Kasdan are the "godfathers", as it were, of the Star Wars Universe. They've laid out the plan, which includes movies, games, animated TV series, novels, comics and more, for the next decade.

Some of those properties are in production, some will be released within the year. But from my understanding, a live action series is years away because LucasFilm doesn't want to over saturate the Star Wars market.

Also, I was told yesterday that the 100 Live Action scripts commissioned by George before his sale to Disney have been shelved for now. It's not known whether or not Disney will choose to produce them at some point but from my understanding, they're outside the realm of Abrams and Kasdan's Universe.

How is Abrams involved past The Force Awakens?

Is he producing the other films?

He and Kasdan literally mapped out the entire Star Wars universe together. They shaped it, decided who and what was going to be involved, which set in motion the creation of the new novels, comics, Anthology and Episode movies as well as animated and live action TV.

Everything that is being produced falls under their umbrella, with Kathleen Kennedy and her team overseeing every aspect.

And yes, from my understanding, Abrams will be producing XII-IX but I am unsure about the Anthologies.

Disney To Make Live Action Star Wars Netflix Shows!

If true, I'd say that cements the question of if and now it's simply a question when Disney makes a grab for Netflix.

ABC got them one of the big 3 OTA networks.
ESPN their sports
Marvel the comics
Lucas the Sci Fi
PIXAR - next gen animation
Netflix - the gold standard for stand alone Internet premium subscription which now has a heady lineup of quality original programming.
Cutting out cable has given them more capital to explore more adventurous projects.
Brad Pitt is starring in a film they're releasing. Jolie is as well for a separate project.

If so much content is being driven by Disney with 2 of it's major properties, eventually they gonna come knocking at Netflix's door.
