Yet another Presti win: Let's trade this insanely talented Jeff Green guy for Kenny Perkins. Seriously, this and jettisoning The Beard ensures a Championship!

Green is only hitting 3's at a 30% clip, but hopefully he'll get better looks and become more efficient playing off other really good players. Defensively, he should be an upgrade just based on his size and athletic ability. I'd hoped for Wilson Chandler as a better three point shooter, but I'd be happy with Green. He's miscast as a lead guy, but should fit very well in an ensemble.

Ok... I hated the Kevin Love trade. But now I'm starting to really hate Kevin Love the player.

No doubt the guy has talent. No doubt the guy hasn't had the best situation so far. But a guy that highly paid and viewed as a superstar... I'm ****ing sick and tired of him loafing on plays. The Cavs team has a lot of young guys with a lot of energy and yet their shitty backup point guard seems to be the only player on the damn team who's willing to go to the floor on a loose ball.

Green was traded to get Harden shots. Harden never flourished until Greem was traded. Green was the stsrting power forward and averaged 2 boards a game. You think Jeff Green was worth 10 million a year to the Thunder the next year? No. OKC loses to Memphis that year if they have Green instead of Perkins. No question.

Presti has made plenty of mistakes. That's not one.

Extending Perkins? Yes, biggest mistake he made as it forced the trade of Harden or Ibaka. He was trying to build a team to beat the Lakers and they faded quick.

Jeff Green had zero value to OKC. It was total addition by subtraction.

From what I can recall at the time it was made the Perkins for Green trade was mostly viewed as a nice win for OKC and Boston fans were not happy. Green was pretty expendable (and about to get overpaid which happened) and Perkins was still well regarded as a pretty solid young defensive center.

As you said the Perk extension was an obvious disaster and for whatever reason they refused to amnesty him to get out for it. Also continuing to start him despite being one of the worst starters in the league didn't help.

I guess it's still early enough but Love is looking very much like a guy that was a stat beast on a bad team. Just a really good player rather than a top 10 guy the stats suggested going into this year.

Love is really unathletic. Not sure it's an effort issue.

I mean, we can blame the offense, but the fact is he is missing open shots at an alarming rate. It's not like teams are blanketing him.

Another thing that really bothers me about LeBron. I've never seen a player with this much sway to do a front office job. And honestly, he ****ing sucks at it. As much as people want to point fingers at the cavs' previous front office for not surrounding him with players, keep in mind that lbj was influencing the same damn way the first time around.

The love trade should have never, never been made.

Here's an interesting trade scenario. The cavs basically traded Wiggins, Bennett, waiters, three first round picks, and two scrubs for love, shumpert, JR Smith, and mozgov.

If you don't trade for love, you don't need shumpert. You now have 10 mil in cap space, 3 first round picks, and waiters to trade for a rim protector. And you don't have to take on JR smith's lousy 6m contract. The cavs would then have draft picks to build bench depth and a really nice cap situation going into 2016. And you know what? They would be a better team even counting the fact that Wiggins would need time to develop.

Well I guess I can only root for a few things this season, since Orlando ****ing sucks again. I guess I could root for them to get things together enough to nab that awful 7 or 8 seed in the weak weak EC, but screw that. I'd rather them get another high lottery pick and continue to build that way. In the meantime, I guess I'll root for the Warriors and Thunder. If they face eachother, I'll just hope for a good series and be happy when either is victorious.

There were a lot of rumblings about him gunning for rebounds over correct positioning on both offense and defense when he was in Minnesota. That, coupled with that team's inability to do anything, even in a loaded conference, was a sizable red flag if he really was a top 10 player.
