I think Waiters is far better than people give him credit for, but I don't see his redundancy playing any better in OKC than it did in Cleveland. Between Westbrook and Durant, when the hell are you putting the ball in Waiters' hands? I mean, unless he's purely there to give Westbrook rest.

But Waiters was the wrong type of SG once the Cavs got Lebron back. The Cavs really needed someone like Reddick, who can score without taking a single dribble. If JR Smith can actually have - gasp - shot selection, I think this will see him hit career highs in FG percentage.

Huge trade

The cavs are going all in. If they don't win now, they've mortgaged their entire future. But they got the two big needs I was bitching about which was a rim protector and a wing defender. So Griffin has had a really strong week for the cavs.

I still wouldn't have traded for love. But these are 2 excellent, excellent moves for the cavs.

Waiters scores, but almost every 2 and 3 in the NBA can score inefficiently and hog the ball. He was never going to be more than Jamaal Crawford, which is a massive waste of a top four pick.
