jesus god you can not hire Alford...that would be the program equivalent of putting a gun to your head....


at this point, why not scour the country for the best assistant...the #1 quality should be recruiting skill...find some young, hyper-active recruiting bad ass - a la Pastner at memphis - and roll the dice...


much better than bringing in some boring ass piece of mediocrity like Alford...

BTW, I think hiring Tubby would be even worse than hiring Alford. Not only is he a lot older, I really don't like what I've read about his time at Minnesota. Sounds like he's either burned out or he still carries a lot of bitterness from his time at UK.

I read something in the KC Star today talking about Larry Drew with Kim Anderson as a assistant. I don't think it has any legs in happening but was a good read. Mizzou guys, success in the NBA\college, etc. Somehow I don't think Alden is even looking that way though.
