According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

He added that there wouldn’t be harsh punishments until “they stop taking photos at each others’ respective homes.” The NFL declined to comment.

I think you're thinking it's being overblown.

And I find the "proven" part interesting. The PSI has been "proven", all that's left (and nearly impossible in today's NFL) is intent. But if they find it, with all the denials we've heard, it would be even worse.

Now I think it was done on purpose. I think that because the Pats live on the edge in these areas.

It's been made clear that the balls were under when checked and re-filled for the 2nd part of the game.
