Off Season Lets Talk Guns

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Nah, I'm done for now. Nothing more to do to the AR and I'm set in the pistol department as well. Eventually I plan on getting one of those Keltec shotguns, but I'm not in any hurry (plus they're a bitch to find right now). Still kicking around getting a Mosin as well, but frankly I just don't have that much interest in it. I'm thinking if I was going to get one, I would have done it by now.

I can get one for $80 up here. The price is certainly right (rifle and ammo), and I've shot one, but still, I'm just meh.

Looking for a compact or sub compact carry pistol and have a few in mind. Anyone know a good place to buy guns online? Looked at Buds and Cheaper than Dirt...CTD was a little cheaper than Buds for several of these.

Haven't decided but I'm looking at:
Sig P238 SS/Natural Grips (iffy on the .380 part and the single action only)
Sig P250 (Love the modular frame, but it's DOA...not sure if Single action only or DOA is better or worse)
Springfield XDm (ltwo modes simply by changing magazines is a nice feature)
Taurus 24/7 (Wondering about quality/reliablity, I have a Taurus Raging Hornet revolver but this is a different animal all together)
Debating basically 3 calibers....380, 9mm, and to a lesser extent .357 SIG (always been fascinated by this caliber..also finding selection of those limited in what I'm looking for)
Also don't care for the Ruger LCP's...I'm kind of picky about looks and if you know any of the guns above you'll understand the look I prefer.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Pretty neat piece, but where did you find it?

I'm leaning towards one of the SIG's or the XDm....I think.

Pawn shop. Its was that or a High Point for a 175.00
I have owned enough Russian weapons over the years to know which is better.
I dont really carry . If I have to go to the ATM box after 10pm It goes with me.

Watch this Garand blow up in this girls hands. My guess /Squib round

The P250 is a tough pull on the DOA. And the would-be hammer looks kinda wierd when it fires. Look at the Px4 sub or compact. First pull is doa, but single there after.

Sig makes a really nice everything IMHO,but I have 4 Springfield xdm's full size and compact 9mm,compact .40,and a full size .45 and I wouldn't trade them.Great guns IMO,and so far will shoot anything I feed them.I reload my own ammo so I don't know about the russian steel cased stuff but I broke them in with white box winchester fmj ammo and they just simply work.Your milage may vary but I'm partial to single action only hand guns.

The wife's first pistol was a Ruger lcp and she keeps it in her purse or glove box but I was not impressed with it (I got her a J frame S&W .38 sp for ccw)but I see where it can be handy.I'm a big fan of Ruger too, having 2 SR9's and several others I just have a hard time shooting the lcp.

I just bought a S&W Sigma 40. Really nice shooting gun for the price. I got it at Bass Pro in Branson for $299.

I doubt if there's much difference - I think the XDm is just the sport model.

There is certainly a big price difference between the two. I assumed the XD was kind of the entry line and the XDm was the top of the line.
