I said this in Blowfish's thread after the game. but just watch this team. Compare it to how the Chiefs look. It's so, so much more than QB. They give the QB time. The WR's make great catches and don't drop key passes. The defense stops the run, they put the clamps down on the opponents' best skill position players. They just fire away on all cylinders, and if your team has any weakness they exploit it and beat you. Even if the Chiefs drafted a franchise QB it feels like they'd still have so much work to do to catch the Patriots.

I would argue that he plays in a era that is clearly geared to offense, in what has been a relatively weak conference, and that he has led his team to one late game winning TD in his playoff career, having only driven his team to 30-35 yard FG winning drives all other times.

Joe Montana, on the other hand, had to make plays against great defenses, year in, year out, and led some of the great late dame TD winning drives that ypu have ever seen, many times.

True, they didn't even have Brady for 4 games still have the #1 seed.

They literally need some ILB and a QB who will hit open receivers, that's it.

We gave up 170 to Bell and over 100 to Brown and didn't have but 1 sack and still could have won by 12 points.

They're a well-run organization, that's for sure, but so are we. We've got some deficiencies here and there but you'd be crazy to think the Patriots don't as well. They're just feasting on a shit defense right now, which is what we would have done last week had the QB been worth a shit.

If we had Tom Brady we'd have won the last three Super Bowls and this one coming as well.

They set exacting standards/expectations for the scouts, coaches, and players, then demand each meet the expectations. It's a really simply formula actually.
