Rany: The Royals have lost three games when leading after 7 innings in the last two weeks. They lost four such games in 2014 and 2015 combined.
In all three of those games, Joakim Soria entered with the Royals winning and exited with the Royals losing. Last edited by siberian khatru; 09-13-2016 at 08:57 PM.. |

Oh lord Soria, just continue to dig a deeper hole
How about no doubles pitching? That should be your concern, not defensive alignment. |

Our season was already likely over but after tonight it definitely is dead.
I really don't know how the hell Ned Yost was able to manage this team to the beyond incredible success past two Octobers. He's a schmuck but a very lucky schmuck. I'm enraged with Soria's season but this is squarely on Ned. ALL of the recent failures is on Ned. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that EVERY arm in the bullpen is trusted more than Soria by this point (even Alec Mills). Winning last two years didn't change Ned for the better. He's still the same moron everyone knows him to be, but at least he has 2014-2015 so he gets a hall pass for life and it's a bargain to feel this pissed after what has occurred last two Octobers. Still, pitching Soria in any high leverage situation is sucidal. I mean by now Joakim Soria is making Mark Davis look like Wade Davis by comparison and that's saying something (fun fact! Soria and Mark Davis both wore 48) So upset Soria killed the season. I REALLY loved him when he was so good back in the day. Unfortunately THIS is what he will be first remembered for and it's a shame. 2016 Soria 2014 Crow 2009 Farnsworth 2006 Burgos 2003 Lopez 2000 Bottalico 1990 M. Davis Not a Best of Seven but a Worst of Seven of worst ever reliever seasons (or part seasons) Royals ever had. I'm sure I am missing a few other gems. It's one thing that Moose injury and Cain injury and Wade's injuries and Gordon's injury and ineffectiveness and Infante's suckitude and Hosmer's second half suckitude and Volquez's suckitude and Young's suckitude and Ventura's first half suckitude and Morales first two months suckitude have brought - despite all that the Royals could have STILL made the playoffs. Soria's suckitude was straw which broke the Royals back. Or should I say Ned's stupid, asinine loyalty to someone who stopped deserving it months ago and definitely at the very latest weeks ago IS why we will be watching some new team claim the American League Pennant from them and that's what kills me. It's as if by these decisions Ned intentionally wants the Royals to enjoy a regular offseason and that is just plain old reeruned. What a disaster this has been. So sorry for all those there who watched that disaster live in the rain.... |

This is on Dayton, who coughed up 25M for this clown. Ned basically has to play Soria, or else go with Moylan and Alexander which may or may not even be an upgrade. Pounders shows he sucks ass so he's not an option.
Dayton had a terrible winter. It happens. But they aren't cutting Soria and they have to pitch him at least some times |

If it weren't for Soria we'd be leading the division right now. What an awful signing he has been.

It's going to cost me $1k if this team can't get to 87 wins. I don't need this crap right now.
