Yeah. He showed flashes. His mobility in the pocket, ability to throw accurately on the run, and general accuracy are very, very nice. If he can tighten up the spiral a bit and add some RPMs to his throws, Goff can be a very good NFL QB. I know scouts have compared him to Matt Ryan, but he's a lot more mobile and a lot better at escaping than Ryan. The ability to slide in the pocket and make tough, accurate throws on the move is a lot more like Rapelisberger or maybe Romo, IMO.

Paxton Lynch vs. Tulsa
32/44 447 yards 13.96 ypa 4 TDs Passing 1 TD Rushing 0 Ints Quote:
Lynch threw the ball well. Hit receivers in stride at multiple levels on the field and showed good drive and placement with the ball. His footwork in the pocket is excellent and he sets his feet well on throws. Despite his size (6'7", 245 lb.), he's got good mobility and uses it well on roll outs. He's also seeing the field extremely well and has the arm to find the seams that he's picking out in the defenses. Fourth full Memphis game I've watched this season and he's impressed in every single one. In fact, he'd have a lot more yards, but the Tigers have been obliterating opponents this year and the ball is being taken out of his hands by at least the fourth quarter a lot of the games. He's absolutely on fire right now and, as I stated earlier, if he managed to beat Ole Miss he'd absolutely start skyrocketing - which he has. |

Lynch had a good game, that deep TD pass off his back foot was money.

Lynch's upside is intoxicating. You pair the mobility and accuracy (and accuracy on the run) with the size and arm talent, and that's a potentially monster/elite QB.
Goff does have more polish, but I'm not sure how much higher the upside goes. Though, to be honest, the exact breakdown I just listed could have been used re: Manning and Leaf, so...

I'll take any of them, just ****ing try. Cook, Goff, or Lynch or perhaps some other late riser in the draft process will be fine. But if the Chiefs have a top 7 or 8 pick in this year's draft and don't take a chance on someone, there will be mass rioting. Having Smith for another year isn't the end of the world, it gives us the benefit of easing a rookie in and giving us one more year to build up a solid OL that won't get him killed.

We've now won 2 games With games coming up against the Lions, Browns, Faid x2, and the Chargers x2... Is it time to start taking a look at Wentz and Hogan?
