I like watching live sports - live.

Crazy I know. I'm going to be on twitter or getting texts from whoever throughout the games. Hell, I might even be on CP. I think it is definitely odd as **** to DVR sports. They're an event. It's not another episode of The Apprentice.

The commercials in baseball are nothing. They aren't an inconvenience at all. Football commercials can be ridiculous, as can college basketball - but they're worth sitting through if it means I'm actually watching the event real time.

I'm with you 100%.

The sports experience is about sitting down, drinking beer, and watching things happen live. I've DVR'd games before, and even successfully turned off my computer and TV long enough to watch the game without knowing the end result so it was "like" I was watching it live.

It wasn't the same thing. Not even close. I still knew that the shit already happened. It was like watching ESPN classic. I got bored, to be honest.

Always watch sports live. Always. If you can't, then just look at a game highlight reel on Sportscenter or on the internet.

It's easily the most astounding revelation I've found on this board. Only losers watch live TV. My brothers even got my mom who is 70 to use DVR years ago. We had a watch party for KU-Kentucky 2012 title game.....and started it an hour in. Incredible anyone under 40 would ever watch an ad or pitching change or TV timeout or instant replay challenge.

So, you had a watch party for a National Championship game and the whole group of dumb ****s there sat around for an hour after the game started just so you could watch the game on DVR and FF through the commercials? That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

That is hilarious. I'm sure the autism society watch parties are bad ass, though.

99% of the games aren't national championship games...

To be clear, I don't watch big games with a DVR, but every day games in any sport I definitely do.

Apparently, even PB's Mom and brothers doesn't want to spend any more time with him than necessary. Instead of having to come up with excuses like "Gotta work tomorrow", they just show up late and zoom thru it.

This makes me wonder what the PB holidays are like.

"Hey everybody, come on over and watch the turkey. ... On DVR.

"Hey mom, here's the unwrapping of presents ... On DVR. We skipped yours tho. ..it was too much like a commercial".

Out of Guthrie, Rios and Infante at least 2 of 3 will be a distant memory soon. Even with the we have a 14 1/2 game lead with Ventura, Duffy and Holland not pitching as well as they can along with Gordon missing a bunch of time. I understand PBs hatred of those 3 players but I only see it as upside with Zobrist, Dyson, Gordon and Medlen filling those roles. Plus you have Ventura, Duffy and Holland trending the right way. There is no team as deep and versatile as the Royals. A lot of shit has to go right, but we couldn't be in a better position to succeed.

I think I predicted 88 wins. Think it's going to be well North of that. I predicted the division to be way more bunched up than it has, boy was I wrong.
