If Teddy Bridgewater really does fall, do you draft him?

I'm seeing rumors that Bridgewater is falling like a rock. He might even slip into the 2nd round.

You are making the Chiefs selection at #23 and Teddy Bridgewater has fallen, do you pick him?

I don't see it as that unrealistic. 250 yds/ game, 2.2 TD's and 8 yds per attempt ate doable. Here's where we differ. I optomisticly hope for these numbers, you pessimistically say it can't happen. Are you a pessimist in the rest of your life too? If not, and it's just the Chiefs, then do yourself (and us) a favor. Move on and find something that doesn't bring you down to the miserable prick we see here.

Lets all hold hands and sing kumbaya as we pray something Alex hasn't come close to doing in his 9 year career happens.

Because if he continues to play to the level he was playing after the bye, those numbers are achievable. They would also be at least top 10 in the league. Maybe top 5. I'm not saying he will. Just asking if he does, does your opinion of him change?
I would love this to happen but.. our O line has far more questions and we still have the same gimpy iron handed Tight Ends...and our receivers are not reliable whatsoever. That is a lot of holes to fill on top of fixing links in a D that had one of the worst playoff chokes in NFL history.

Oh I agree. It's gonna be tough. Add on the fact that our schedule faces very tough defenses this year including Seattle and San Fran. 2 of the best defenses in the league. But with our schedule and holes you mentioned, not too many QB's are gonna have flashy numbers. Manning, Brady, Brees, and Rodgers wouldn't likely fair that much better. I hope he does do well though. He is our starting QB, and best of all, he isn't Matt Cassel. Funny thing, just dumb declined the opportunity to back up his assertion that Alex is a bottom half QB by naming 16 better. Goes to show, he doesn't even believe the shit he's shovelinf.

I've already done this in past posts. You simply wanted to limit it to half a season which is dumb.

Only dumb to someone who refuses to acknowledge that it took time for the offense to gel in a new system. Nobody just comes in to a new team and lights it up from day one. Even Paydayton wasn't on fire in Denver the first half of his first season there. Your refusal to compare to him after the offense gelled proves that you acknowledge he played very good after the bye but refuse to give in anyway. So I will take that as confirmation that he is not a bottom half QB. Thanks for proving my point.

You are so full of shit. In Peytons first half of a season in Denver he had 5 straight games of 300+ yards starting in week 3 with 3 TD passes in all but 1 of those games when he only threw 2, with only 1 interception. His very FIRST game in Denver he completed 73% of his passes for 250 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs, and 9.7 YPA.

You think Alex Smith never had good games in SF?

Did you see him against the Saints in the playoffs? Bet you did. How about his next game against the Giants?

He was the #1 pick in the draft. He has talent. But he plays like a pussy and more often than not he plays like a pos.

QBs I would take over Alex Smith if building a team today, in no particular order...

1) Peyton Manning too close to the end of his career and he chokes in big games
2) Tom Brady Yes
3) Aaron Rodgers Yes
4) Drew Brees. Yes
5) Philip Rivers - Easy to rattle then he throws tantrums. I consider it.
6) Ben Roethlisberger Yes
7) Matt Ryan - not me. He would be no better
8) Cam Newton - nope.
9) Andrew Luck. Yes
10) Tony Romo - maybe. I just hate how he chokes
11) Eli Manning - in the playoffs sure. But let's hope last year was a fluke
12) Jay Cutler no way in hell ten cent brain
13) Russell Wilson Probably. Not sure he is more than a game manager but he's young
14) Matthew Stafford Probably. He's pretty good but hasn't won much.
15) RG3 - nope...Shanarat already ruined him
16) Andy Dalton - maybe. Too soon to tell
17) Nick Foles probably. But not if we can't use half a season as a qualifier
18) Colin Kaepernick - lmao...Harbaugh screwed up

Thanks for playing but you're reaching on quite a few.

Okay. My memory was off on Manning. I guess all the donk apologists saying he took a year to sync got in my head. My mistake for choosing a first ballot hall of famer to make my point. After all, he is the exception, not the rule.

I'm not saying they're world beaters. I think Dalton is a pos like Smith but he doesn't play with a vagina between his legs so I'd regretfully pick him before Smith if I had to pick between the 2.
