My only guess for that is they wanted to keep kush at center.

What does Fanaika add to this team that a vet minimum guy wouldn't?
Same for Mauga.

Hell, Porkchop signed for what we gave Vance Walker last year. If he played 30 snaps a game maybe Poe wouldn't die in the second half of the season and we could slide him outside on the occasional down (or use him as a penetrating one gap in a 4-3 look).

Ayers is average. Mauga is TERRIBLE.

Hudson is a center. Grubbs is a guard.

Seattle went 7-1 in Unger's absence.

Hey, I like Unger but I'd take Earl Thomas over Unger every day of the week.

Surely had nothing to do with the fact their defense only gave up an average of 14 points, right?

In the six games Unger played -- the first four and Weeks 10 and 11 -- the Seahawks averaged 392.5 yards of offense per game, including 203.8 yards rushing. Seattle also allowed 13 total sacks in those six games and Wilson had a passer rating of 95 or higher in five of the six.

In the 10 games Unger missed, Seattle averaged nearly 30 yards less of offense, but the big drop-off was in the running game. The Seahawks rushed for just 153.9 yards in those 10 games when Unger was out.

And from Barnwell:

Stork’s counterpart, Unger, missed multiple stretches of time due to injury this season, and it’s easy to overlook just what his absence does to the Seattle running game. On the year, Seattle averaged 3.1 yards before contact — the fifth-best mark in football. But with a healthy Unger over the first five weeks, Seattle put up 3.81 YBCT/run, comfortably the best in the league. From Week 6 through 9, with Unger on the sideline, that number fell to 2.48 — 15th overall. With Unger back in the lineup for the next two weeks, it jumped back to 4.55 — and only the Vikings were better. Then, when Unger missed the next six games, Seattle dropped back down to 2.44 — worse than league average. You get the idea. If the Seahawks get the running game going against New England, it won’t just be because of Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch.

You are tossing out bullshit arguments. Citing $70 million in money to the guys we gave it to is a bullshit argument - it means nothing. Nor do the total $$ figures cited for the guys that didn't sign here. Acting like those figures are in any way salient and the condescending to anyone who thinks otherwise is garbage.

When someone says they like Dorseys moves and your response is "then you're a ****ing idiot" then yes, that's bullshit.

You're welcome to wallow in your misery. This place is somehow more downtrodden than when Pioli and Cassel were running things. Its goddamn unbelievable.

Earl Thomas is the best free safety in football. Are you saying that Parker is an equivalent safety to Hudson's standing within centers (a guy you claimed was a top five center).

Not worth 9 mil per year. Period. We did the right thing letting him walk. He is not a dominent center because he is too small. How many times did we get stuffed? JC got nailed repeated trying go behind or center and guards.

Yup this year we proved it. I've said its a myth. We had no cap but yet we got Maclin, Grubbs, kept Parker, signed that gaurd

Some of Dorsey's moves do not equal all of Dorsey's moves. You should at least have enough integrity to acknowledge this utterly simple fact.

Moreover, given that we use contracts to evaluate value, scaling the contracts of one group of players to another (knowing that all are unlikely to see their deals end) is perfectly reasonable.
