Jumping in front of Houston might only cost pick 104... provided someone will trade down. |

Draft our 1st round QB this year if he is there. If we do that we can let that QB get adjusted when we don't have to put him out there and possibly ruin that player. I do not want to wait until next year and then have to wait another year or two to find out if we have our QB or not. The sooner we get this done the sooner we can move on from Smith.

If KC drops a round 1 pick on a QB, they better choose wisely...I wouldn't want any of the QBs on that list...Wentz might turn out to be OK but not for what the Eagles gave up.
This draft is too stocked to be trading away picks...I wouldn't be surprised to see Dorsey trying to move back. He's a shrewd guy with his draft capital...and if he doesn't have a late 1st round grade on one, they arent taking a QB at 27. RD 1 8 Jake Locker 10 Blaine Gabbert 12 Christian Ponder 2 Robert Griffin 8 Ryan Tannehill 22 Brandon Weeden 16 EJ Manuel 3 Blake Bortles 22 Johnny Manziel 1 Jared Goff 2 Carson Wentz 26 Paxton Lynch Last edited by BlackOp; 04-09-2017 at 08:54 AM.. |

I get all the frustration of not having a stud QB.I really do. But if you look at the past 20 yrs at all the QBs taken in the 1st rd that were pushed up into the 1st rd because of a desperate need, there have been far more that have busted than succeeded once again setting that organization back even further. But I am not willing 'this year' to do this on a false narrative that we can afford to let a 1st rd QB pick 'sit' when we still have major defensive and offensive needs with a plethora of football talent 'that will start" sitting there at 27 especially when the QB class for next year will justify that pick far more and you have bolstered your roster this year even more with offensive and defensive talented depth.

Smith didn't need two testicles to play that game. All he needed was one. Just a LIIIITTLE bit of courage would have been all we needed to make one or two big plays and call it a day. If your QB can't give you more than 18 points in the playoffs against a mediocre defense like Pittsburgh, THERE'S A HUGE ****ING PROBLEM. If your defense stops a DYNAMIC offense like Pittsburgh to only 18 points, THAT'S REALLY ****ING GOOD. End of goddamn ****ing story. |

If you believe that a QB has the talent to excel if he's given time to develop, you take him early, and develop him off the field before you put him into harm's way. Maybe if the Chiefs offense could have sustained a couple of drives between the opening drive and the final drive, the defense might have gotten a couple of minutes of rest, which might have improved the chances of making a stop or 2.
