He's gotta get more than that.
We're not in Daboll's offense this year. As much as it looks like a shit show right now, we're going to put up FAR more points than we did last year, and Charles is a pretty good bet on getting those TDs. At least 10 TDs is more than fair. And even then, 10 is going to lowball it, I'm thinking. |

We could play this game all day. Bottom line is that Martin and Charles were good enough to have those types of games and long runs, so that capability along with every other variable puts them in the top 5. Martin was a horse last year, and will be again this year. |

I'd rather pick 5 than 2 this year for this very reason. There is no consensus #2 pick. I'd be fine with Charles, Martin, Spiller, Rice or McCoy. Foster has been great for me in the past, but can't take that injury risk early in the 1st round. Lynch is solid, and a fine pick in the back half of the 1st round. Richardson is another pretty high upside guy I'd be happy with late in the 1st. The old adage is you can't win a league with your first round pick, but you can lose it (typically injury related).

I'd prefer to move down a few spots as well however there's always that small chance the #1 pick isn't ADP. Then I'd be kicking myself if I traded out of 2.

Charles' foot and the piss-poor performance of our O-line thus far scared me off.
I'm sure that was the wrong decision, but I couldn't pull the trigger. Martin seemed safer to me and I didn't want my real life RB to ruin my fantasy season if he gets hurt.

I wanted Martin instead of Charles. I thought about taking Spiller but that QB situation worried me.

Are you saying you selected Martin 2nd overall in a recent draft?

I was about to do the same thing and the injury has happened before in past years, but I decided to go Charles anyway

Well I wimped out and traded away the 2nd overall pick in my standard draft. Just wasn't comfortable at that spot. I ended up trading my 2nd and 19th for his 7th and 14th. I should be able to land Charles, Spiller, or Richardson at 7. I'm really banking on being able to get one of the top three WRs with my 2nd round pick now and then picking up a RB2 in the early 3rd round.
We will see what happens on Thursday. If the 1st overall pick passes on ADP I'll be pissed!!!! Last edited by CanadianChief; 08-26-2013 at 03:02 PM.. Reason: typo |

Foster was a guy I had around 8. There were just too many options that didn't present the risk he does before there. If you bust on your first rounder in FFB, you're sunk. As such, unless he was a screaming bargain, I couldn't take Foster. Fortunately, he went before me and I was staring at Martin or Charles. After saying Charles was my #2, I audibled at the line and went with Martin. That is almost always the wrong thing to do so I would imagine Charles is going to go off this year.

Im not as high on Charles. After getting stuff at the goal line for the first few games, his TDs will start getting vultured.
