Eh, if it has a problem staying on the front page, we can sticky it, but my guess is it'll have staying power just fine.

As for the ban, what did we do last year? If it was like a month temp ban, that seems suitable. Though I'm usually the anti-ban guy, chances are if you manage to win a contest like this, you've been pretty damn obnoxious and aren't adding much value to the site.

The bleedinghearts and douchebags formed an odd alliance and whined about banning the winner so much that the moderators decided not to do it. And even though it wasn't even my idea in the first place, I sort of got left twisting in the wind over it.

So if you guys choose to do it, I would simply ask that you stick by your guns this time.

Seems like I was more against the ban last time, but I dunno. I wouldn't be opposed to it as long as it was temporary.

Bug me in a week or so if you don't hear anything. We've got a number of meta discussions going right now, so I'll hold off on bringing it up for discussion for now.

One of the problems last year, IMO, was that the banning idea came at the end of the process so people were voting for hahas and then it morphed into real consequences.
