I'm curious how you know you "blew up your a/c compressor"? Did it lock up and break the belt?
My son's Impreza runs fine with a dead a/c compressor but I don't know if the Hyundai would too. |

Yeah you can't always bypass an ac compressor. It depends on how the belt is routed.
I'm a Service Writer and basically all I do is put together estiamtes and hunt down parts all day long. What all was on the estimate to "do it right"? I could put together a quick est and see if you're getting screwed. Its Probably Compressor, condensor, drier/accumulator, orifice tube/expansion valve, maybe a liquid line then the evac and recharge and of course labor |
