The Exorcist is the only other I can think of off the top of my head, but yeah... I'm a HUGE fan of the film (cinema's only perfect film, IMO) and expected to be underwhelmed by the novel. I was blown away.

I recently reread, "Do androids dream of electric sheep?" and got the urge to watch Blade Runner (Final Cut) again as well. While I do enjoy the movie, I find the "Do androids dream..." a hell of a lot better. I realize the story would be very difficult, if not impossible, to draft as a film script, but I wish it would happen.

Chiefsplanet's post presenting logic just pranked me, and I've lost the power to delete posts. I'm starting to get concerned about the planet's time-space continuum.

this was in my younger years and i quickly learned that movies rarely capture what the novel was, which sucks! so i've never read the exorcist, and i initially watched the movie sooo long ago, there are only a few scenes left in memory. should i read the book first before watching it, or the other way around? |

Yeah I got that. I will definitely check them out. For whatever reason I never got around to watching them. Probably has a lot to do with the fiance doesn't really like sitting through long movies or movies in that genre in the first place.
