Dwayne Bowe heading to injured reserve
Dwayne Bowe heading to injured reserve
Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was ruled out for this week’s game against the Raiders early on Monday and now he’s been ruled out for the rest of the season. PFT has learned via a league source that Bowe will be placed on injured reserve as a result of the broken ribs he suffered in Sunday’s lopsided loss to the Browns. Bowe had two catches for 70 yards before leaving Sunday’s game. Bowe ends the year with 59 catches for 801 yards and three touchdowns, a fairly significant drop from his last two seasons. It could be the last work he does as a Chief. Bowe is set to become a free agent at the end of the season and he could be on his way out of Kansas City after failing to come to terms on a long-term deal after they franchised him last offseason. Bowe said last month that he’d like to stay in Kansas City, but there’s a lot of time between now and the start of free agency for other options to become more appealing. There’s also likely to be a fair amount of change coming to the Chiefs organization, which would certainly impact what they decide to do in regard to Bowe. |

He doesn't have the speed of either of those guys but he can fight for the ball and run routes every bit as good as they can.

Schaub is horrible, when it comes to nationally staged big games, he crumbles and chokes, he can't elevate his team and take them to a next level. Besides Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels, who do they really have to throw too?
Bowe is going to end up on Dallas though, KC has become a farm team for the cowboys. Clark loves Dallas more then KC and bows down to them, I'm still pissed at Carr going there. Mark my words, if we don't resign him, he's gone to Dallas. I'm pretty sure Miles Austin becomes a free agent and I've read reports that have said they'll either go after Bowe or Jennings. |

Farm team? Carr signing there makes them the Chief's farm team? |

Idk, makes sense that Bowe would go to Dallas, or New Orleans. I could see either. Hard to envision a scenario that keeps him in KC. I'll bet he's already packing his bags for Louisiana, put his house on the market, etc.

The scenario is that a competent GM will see the need to sign Bowe to a longterm deal. Or they can just tag him again. |

Then just let him walk next offseason?
If he is unwilling to sign a longterm deal this offseason you better tag and trade him this year.

I was just trying to list former Chiefs playing for Dallas...

futile. Bowe will not be a Chief next year...and it's time we all get used to it now. His last game as a Chief was a 2 catch, 70-yard performance in a blowout loss in Cleveland that he left early on due to broken ribs. Fitting epitaph for his time with KC.
