I heard about the mega/super server. If they can pull that off, they would be huge for them. BTW, what is everyone legacy level? How many characters? I am at legacy level 18 and have the following alts: -level 50 Scoundrel - story was ok, but some of the dialogue is great. I seduced many o women during this story line. -level 41 Assassin - lot of fun. Deception spec'd, right now. High burst. Had my first 4k crit in a PvP match last night. -level 40 Imperial Agent/Operative - Love this guy. I can heal and damage. -level 33 Juggernaut - Beastly. I love force choke and force push. -level 30 Powertech - Really high burst damage. Fun. Couple others as well, but having a good time just messing around when I am able to play. |

I'm about to hit legacy level 30.
50 Sage: Story was hit-and-miss. Some of it was great, Act 3 in particular, but it was inconsistent. My favorite character to play. 50 Gunslinger: Story was also hit-and-miss, but better than the Consular. Some really awesome moments and lines. Enjoy the class mechanics. 49 Sentinel: By far the worst story I've played through in the game, although I haven't yet finished act 3. I really like the class and how it plays, but I did not like the story at all. 39 Commando: Through act 2, the best storyline on the Republic side. Enjoy the class as well. 15 Operative: My first live Imperial character, started in the last week. Focused mainly on crafting so far (just hit 400 armstech, so all I have left is biochem). I really enjoyed what I played of the Agent quest on the test server, and so far am greatly enjoying playing it over in the live game. I also have a level 30ish Juggarnaut on the test server. Enjoy the class story and the combat mechanics (I'm dps, not tanking). In beta I played a Sorceror up to 26, and loved the storyline. My next live character after the Agent will be a Sith Assassin. I also played a Bounty Hunter to 15 in beta, and enjoyed that quite a bit, as well. Basically by the time I'm done I'm going to have one character of every archetype: Republic: Commando, Gunslinger, Sage, Sentinel Empire: Assassin, Juggarnaut, Operative, Powertech So far I haven't found a character that I dislike as far as gameplay goes. I really enjoy the variety of the combat mechanics and finding different ways to get things done. Of course I'm sure it helps (a lot) that I have maxed crew skills in Armormech, Armstech, Artifice, Cybertech and Synthweaving, so gearing up my secondary characters is no problem at all. |

I think I will give this game 6 months to a year and then try again. The killer for the game is the lack of high end content. No content means that people stop playing which means that servers dry up which leads to a bigger snow ball effect of people not playing.
I watched the video, a level increase, 6 months into a game, wow. That's how bad the content is. It's bad form too, because instead of building on the content that you have at the end game, you are totally trivializing it. |

I think the video has given some people the misperception that the cap raise is happening immediately (I don't mean you specifically kaplin, this is all over the boards). Whereas as I understand it, the cap is not being increased right now, and probably not anytime soon. It's never been mentioned as part of 1.3, which is itself not even on the test server yet. All that they're saying is that they're planning a level increase sometime before the end of the year. Which, like the game's release, could mean December. It doesn't mean June, and the only thing in July that I'm aware of is the expansion of the free trial.
'course I could be wrong and they'll just include it with 1.3. We'll see. Though I'd be surprised by that. |

Word today from closed sessions at E3 is that 1.3 is coming to the PTS tomorrow and that transfers are coming in the next few weeks.

And a new heroic area on Belsavis is being demoed at e3. Because I don't hate level 50 Belsavis enough already.

I think the drop in numbers has more to do with the excessive number of servers than it does with the end game content. You have packs of people who all wanted to continue playing, but couldn't because they're all isolated from each other on different servers. I think we'll see an uptick once the transfers start, and then another when they do the mega-super-servers.
Although I'm actually worried that the transfers will kill some of the medium-pop servers like mine (Tarro Blood). My server isn't a graveyard, but it's not super active either. Not that it will really matter to me. Since I have and will always play MMOs primarily like they're massive single player games. |

It's probably been two months since I've played. I got married in mid-April and between the the weeks leading up to it and the honeymoon afterward, I just didn't have any time to play. Then Steam had a sale on Skyrim, so I decided to give that a whirl. It sucked me right in and I've been spending all of my playing time on it. I'm sure I'll get back to SWTOR, I just have no idea when.

The legacy perks with 1.3 look pretty cool: http://dulfy.net/2012/06/06/patch-1-...aracter-perks/
Looks like I need to do some serious credit grinding. I still haven't even bought rocket boots and now all this. If I get space mission, class mission and exploration perks, it'll be 575k credits (per character) to reach rank 5. 350k credits will increase crew skill crit chance by 3%. 60k credits will decrease companion junk selling to just 5 seconds (pretty awesome I think). 220k credits will give you a priority transport to your capitol, Outlaw's Den, the Fleet or the Black Hole (shared 9 hour cooldown) 40k lets you use speeder I at level 10 175k lets you use speeder II at level 30 250k lets you use speeder III at level 40 The field repair droid looks crazy expensive (requires legacy level 30 - 500k (per character) to get down to a 15 minute cooldown). Mail droid is much cheaper, 60k for 15 minute cooldown. |

I genuinely like the game, I just don't have the time. The only other MMORPG I've ever played had such a way of making me feel like shit if I wasn't wearing the best armor and on an elite guild. This game feels more like a solo campaign with endless story line.
I've maybe grouped twice? I also haven't played in forever, but they keep collecting my money... |

I also just noticed I've been a member of this board for over 8 years... that doesn't seem possible.
