Probably old news, but Moon is on netflix on-demand, for those who haven't seen it.

Just watched Panic Room.
It was pretty decent, actually. Not much in the way of saying anything about anything but a good thriller. Except that we didn't get to see what happened with Whitaker's character. I was extremely disappointed they didn't close that. Though, I can see why Whitaker took the role. I couldn't imagine why before I'd seen it. Also, Kristen Stewart looked like McCully Culkin in this movie. It took some getting used to. I like the Adventureland K. Stewart. Sidenote: she doesn't lick her lips before each line in this movie. Someone coached her, it looks like. Overall, worth a watch when one's bored.

I might even agree with that, but more because people hate on it than it being a hidden gem.
And Jodie did look good in some shots. It was kinda weird.

And a lot of people have seen it. It's not like it slipped under the radar. But so many people bag on this movie, and I don't get it. It's far from bad - hell, it's far from mediocre. It's a solid, well made, compelling moral thriller. Solid B leaning toward B+ |

My netflix queue is running on fumes. My streaming is packed with great movies, but the actual mailing side has 13 movies and only 4 are at or above 3 stars.
Any must see movies you would recommend?

I finally watched Avatar the other night. Loved it. Yeah, yeah, I know the story has been done before. Doesn't matter. I haven't seen a lot of those movies anyway. Besides, I think the story was a unique twist on it. The visuals and CGI were amazing. The wife thought it was okay but didn't care much for the tree hugger aspect, but that part didn't really bother me. I understand why this movie got all the hype it did.
Perhaps over time my opinion will lower a bit. But as of now, I think this is definitely one of the better flicks in awhile.

Watched "The Crazies" and "The Wolfman" this weekend. Not as bad as I thought.

Are you wanting new movies? Old movies? New The Book of Eli- A great "After the End" type of movie. Denzel give a great performance without trying to be Mad Max. Kinda New Serenity-Space Western that is alot cooler than it may sound at first. Older Indiana Jones-'nuff said |
