Oprah is the main reason I have no interest in this. I do like your point of turning the volume down. heh
I don't get the channel to watch it and refuse to pay for it on BD when it comes out because of everything you just stated though.

The review I heard said that the visuals were, once again, stunning.
However, the narration was redone for American release, and while the "Planet Earth" series was engaging and informative , the "Life" series is a bit preachy and condescending...and that while Oprah may be a media titan, that doesn't necessarily mean she brings much to the narration. The recommendation was to wait for disc release and get the original narration version (I can't remember the name of the English narrator)

Love these shows. Can't complain about Oprah. The DVR will be set after midnight. The Pacific and Breaking Bad will take up my DVR time tonight.
