I think he can have a career path like Westbrook. Start out as a 3rd down back and recieve touches in a limited amount and work up to recieving the majority of touches after a couple of years in the league.

LJ is gone. I don't think Charles is ready to start, but I think Kolby would do just fine so long as he has a good QB and complement runner like Charles.

What's a starter now a days anyways?
Everybody splits carries. So I'd be perfectly happy with Charles as our starter. He'd just need spelled with another back. |

I can see that. I don't like it that Westbrook is hurt a lot due to being a productive guy and getting laid out from time to time when catching passes. So that brings in is JC going to be durable through the whole promotion process? He did have a bum ankle through half the season and did play, but I think it was only a couple plays the whole game.

I think Charles could add about 10-15 lbs to his frame and hopefully improve his durability.

Charles is way to injury prone to ever touch it 20 times a game.
If they do move from LJ which seems pretty likely with the change at the top of the organization then you look for a guy who can take alot of touches and be a hammer, James Davis in the mid rounds possibly. |

I don't think he is big enough at his current size to be a everydown back.. But the trend of the NFL is two good backs now, so who knows.. Personally I think that is more so they don't have to pay out the ass to one guy..

We were running back by commitee before it was cool. Marty was so ahead of his time.

If LJ is not our guy, but is worthless as far as trading, I say we keep him as long as he . If he can behave, I say give him what he wants, 30 touches, and run his ass to death, then cut him next year after his wheels have fallen completely off. Might as well get our money out of the deal.
